⚡ IMPULSE 2026 Successfully Organized by E&E Department, BIET

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology, under the banner of the student forum POWER WAVE, successfully organized IMPULSE 2026 on 08 May 2026 with the sponsorship of The Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI) and Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).

The event was coordinated by Dr. Manjunatha H.M. with the objective of enhancing students’ technical knowledge, innovation, and practical skills. The program was graced by Sri Vinayaka T L, Dr. H.B. Aravind, Prof. Y. Vrushabendrappa, and Dr. M.S. Nagaraj.

💡 IMPULSE 2026 featured technical events such as Paper Presentation, Project Expo, and Rapid Fire, with enthusiastic participation from students of SJM Institute of Technology, Jain Institute of Technology, University BDT College of Engineering, and BIET. Bridging the Gap Between Academics and Industry: BIET Davanagere × HELOAVY 🚀

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology successfully conducted a three day workshop titled AI Assisted Software Development for fourth semester CSE students in collaboration with HELOAVY.

🔹 April 6–7 | Peer to Peer Bootcamp
A key highlight of the workshop was the peer to peer learning model, where sixth semester CSE students trained and mentored fourth semester students through an intensive hands on learning experience. Participants explored modern AI assisted development workflows using platforms such as Google Antigravity, Supabase, Vercel, and OpenAI, helping them transition from traditional coding practices to next generation software development approaches.

🔹 April 8 | Hackathon Finale
The workshop concluded with an exciting Hackathon where students applied their newly acquired skills to solve real world challenges within a limited timeframe. The event showcased strong innovation, collaboration, and technical problem solving abilities.

This initiative reflects BIET’s commitment to nurturing industry ready engineers by integrating professional tools, collaborative learning models, and emerging technologies into the academic environment.
