This time, in the International Tibetan Calligraphy Competition organized by the Tibetan Cultural Preservation Institute, the school of the Druk Sangling Monastery, Druk Lekshay Jungnay , participated. Three of the top students from our school received certificates of excellence and prizes.

དེ་བཞིན་ཤེས་ཡོན་འགན་འཛིན་དང་སློབ་སྤྱི་གཅིག་ལྕོགས་མཆོག་ནས་ཀྱང་དུས་ཆེན་འདི་བཞིན་སྲུང་བརྩི་ཞུ་དགོས་པའི་དམིགས་དོན་སོགས་ལ་འགྲེལ་བཤད་ཟབ་རྒྱས་གནང་ཡོད།

མཐའ་དོན། རང་དགོན་ཆེན་མོ་འདིར་སྔར་མེད་གསར་གཏོད་ཀྱི་དུས་ཆེན་འདི་བཞིན་སྲུང་བརྩི་ཞུ་དགོས་པ་ཡང་། གཙོ་བོ་བོད་ཀྱི་སྐད་ཡིག་གཉིས་ནི། མི་རིགས་ཞིག་དང་། རྒྱལ་ཁབ་ཞིག་གི་སྐད་ཡིག་ཙམ་མ་ཡིན་པར་ནང་ཆོས་དང་འབྲེལ་བ་དམ་ཟབ་གནས་ཡོད་སྟབས། དགོན་པའི་བསྟན་བདག་༸སྐྱབས་རྗེ་འབྲུག་པ་ཐུགས་སྲས་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་ཡི་ཐུགས་དགོངས་ཟབ་རྒྱས་ཀྱིས་བཀའ་སློབ་བླང་དོར་ལམ་སྟོན་འོག་གོ་སྒྲིག་བྱེད་པ་ཞིག་ཡིན།

དེས་ཀྱང་རྣམ་དཀར་ཅི་མཆིས་བོད་ཀྱི་སྐད་ཡིག་གཉིས་ཇི་སྲིད་ནམ་མཁའི་ཁམས་གནས་པ་དེ་སྲིད་ཡུན་གནས་ཐུབ་པའི་སྨོན་ལམ་བཅས། སྐུ་པར་འགའ་ཞིག་དྲན་རྟེན་གྱི་ཚུལ་དུ་འབུལ།

Today, April 30th, the Department of Education at the glorious Drukpa Kagyu Monastery of Druk Sangngak Chöling Monastery, in collaboration with Drukgar Thösampa and Druk Lekshay Jungnay School, is commemorating Tibetan Alphabet Day. Over 150 students participated in a competition featuring both kyug and Umay Tibetan calligraphy. The top performers were awarded prizes by the monastery administration, and the disciplinarian, (Gaykoe la) gave a speech offering advice and expressing gratitude.

The Director of Education and Principal also provided in-depth explanations on the significance of celebrating this occasion.

In conclusion, the celebration of this new tradition at the grand monastery is primarily due to the deep connection between the Tibetan language and Buddhism. It is organized under the guidance of the profound teachings of our spiritual leader, Kyabje Drukpa Thuksay Rinpoche, who views the Tibetan language and script as more than just the language of a people or nation.

May the merit of this endeavor contribute to the enduring preservation of the Tibetan language and script for as long as the sky remains.

Today, on Friday, an inter-class football tournament was organized for students from grades 3 to 7. The following are some images of the Grade 5 students who won the competition.

Every Friday, the teachers at this school organize various activities, including competitions among students or between classes. This time, in particular, a special letter arrived from the Manjushree Centre of Tibetan Cultural in Darjeeling stating that they would participate in the celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama's 90th birthday this year and observe the International Tibetan Calligraphy Day on April 30th. For this purpose, the students of classes three to five from different schools will participate in a Tibetan cursive calligraphy competition. As requested, the students of the Druk Lekshay Jungnay School at the Druk Sangnag Choling monastery also joined in, and here are some glimpses of their participation.

Today, March 23, 2026, on a Monday, the academic sessions atDruk Lekshay Jungnay School will begin.
