Over the past one week the NSS unit 1 of BDC engaged themselves actively in collecting and disposing of plastic wastes and creating and spreading awareness about the hazards of single use plastics

Day 4
Swachhata hi seva
Activity: cleaning the public area at the entrance of the college, door to door awareness campaign in shops and canteens regarding use and disposal of plastic waste.

On Day 3 of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign at Bijanbari Degree College, the NSS unit focused on cleaning plastic waste at the Vidyasagar HS School Ground, which happens to be a major ground for public events as well.
Volunteers gathered to collect plastic waste, raising awareness about the impact of littering on the environment. The initiative aimed to foster community engagement in maintaining cleanliness and promoting sustainable practices. Participants also discussed the importance of reducing plastic use and the need for responsible waste disposal. The day concluded with reflections on the significance of cleanliness and environmental stewardship

The Disaster Management Awareness workshop at the college engaged around 100 students and teachers in an interactive learning experience. Participants actively took part in sessions focused on disaster prevention and emergency response techniques. Key activities included practical demonstrations on tying ropes for rescue and safety purposes. The event emphasized the importance of preparedness and provided valuable skills for managing emergencies effectively. Overall, the workshop fostered a strong sense of community awareness and responsibility towards disaster management.
