Hemant Limbu, widely known as the Indian Trail King, is a legendary ultra trail runner from the picturesque hills of Darjeeling. Growing up amid rugged mountain terrain, he developed a natural bond with the trails that later shaped his journey into ultra running.

His relentless dedication has earned him national and international acclaim, with multiple record-breaking performances across India’s toughest races. Hemant is also the winner of the 75km (Xtreme Ultra)Tsomgo Ultra 2023, where his course record remains unbeaten to this day. His newest milestone, finishing a 50 km trail run in a stunning 4 hours 57 minutes, the fastest ever by an Indian, has further solidified his iconic status.

Beyond his victories, Hemant is admired for mentoring young runners and promoting fitness in his community. His rise from a small village to becoming one of India’s most celebrated trail athletes continues to inspire countless runners across the country.
