116th Birth Anniversary Celebration of Swatantrata Senani Gaga Tshering Dukpa

Swatantrata Senani Gaga Tshering Dukpa College, located at Majhidhura, Sukhia Pokhari, proudly honours and celebrates the Birth Anniversary of Late Gaga Tshering Dukpa, fondly known as “Nehru Bajey” due to his style and appearance, which resembled Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru.

Gaga Tshering Dukpa was born on 7 December 1909 in Permaguri Rana Dara, Sukhia Pokhri (Darjeeling). He was a dedicated freedom fighter, a firm believer in Indian nationalism, and a visionary educationist.

Our college (also known as Sukhia Pokhri Degree College) is named in his memory as a tribute to his enduring legacy.
