St Paulâs celebrated its 80th Independence Day with a soulful chapel service, followed by the NCC cadetsâtrained meticulously by Mr. Yogesh Sunam (ANO) and Mr. Gyan Mishra(CTO) âmarching with flawless precision across the iconic Quadâthe tricolour unfurling against the sky like a living promise. đŠđş The Sixth Form delivered a patriotic song composed and written by our former masters , while PW and JW followed with equally moving performances, each boy painting the air with its unique emotional huesâseparate voices, yet one united anthem of love for the motherland. đśâ¤ď¸ The stage then came alive with a poignant skit on Durga Malla, the Gorkha freedom fighter whose martyrdom was re-enacted with such raw intensity that the silence that followed spoke louder than any applause. đđŽđłâď¸ Speeches by the language departments wove together reflections on Indiaâs civilisational greatness, her resilience, and her timeless spiritâeach word a tribute to the soul of this ancient, ever-young nation. The crowning moment arrived with Col. Mrityunjay Kumar Upadhyay, whose address cut through formality with genuine gravitasâurging the young to treat freedom not as a passive inheritance, but as a living, breathing responsibility to be guarded with integrity and valour. đď¸â By the time dusk settled over the Quad, St Paulâs had done more than commemorate a dateâit had reignited a sacred fire that will burn long after the flags are folded, thanks in no small measure to the tireless dedication of Mr. Yogesh Sunam and Mr. Gyan Mishra in training the cadets and ensuring the day's flawless ex*****on. đŽđłđŤđď¸
