On 20th August 2026,Camellia School, Darjeeling had the immense pleasure of hosting the AHLIS Inter-School Nepali Elocution Competition 2026 on the auspicious occasion of the 35th Nepali Language Recognition Day (Bhasa Manyata Diwas).
It was a proud and meaningful occasion that brought together young and talented speakers from different schools, celebrating their confidence, creativity and love for the Nepali language.
“When a language survives, culture survives; when culture survives, a community survives.”
The enthusiasm and remarkable performances of all the participants made the event truly memorable. Their voices echoed not only with confidence but also with a deep sense of pride in our language, heritage and identity.
The event was a grand success, made possible by the wholehearted participation and support of everyone involved.

🌍 Earth Day Celebration at Our School
Today, on the occasion of Earth Day, our school proudly celebrated the spirit of sustainability and responsibility towards our planet.
Our SUPW classes took a meaningful step by engaging in plantation activities, nurturing nature by planting saplings and learning the importance of greenery in our lives. Along with this, students also created eco-friendly items by reusing materials and spreading awareness about reducing plastic use.
We are proud to share that yesterday, our students also participated in an Earth Day celebration at the Zoo, where the theme was “Best Out of Waste” Competition.
Our creative students made bird feeders using waste plastic bottles, showcasing innovation and commitment towards protecting the environment.

As a Plastic-Free School, we continue to encourage habits that protect our environment and build a greener future.

The Junior Section added color and creativity to the celebration with a beautiful display showcasing their thoughts, ideas, and love for Mother Earth.
Glimpses from today’s and yesterday’s celebrations capture the enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication of our students towards a cleaner and greener world.

Today, we bid a heartfelt farewell to our beloved Class 10 and Class 12 students. From laughter in the corridors to unforgettable classroom moments, you have left behind memories that will always be cherished. Watching you grow into confident individuals has been our greatest pride, and though it’s hard to say goodbye, we know you are ready to step into a bright future. You will always remain a part of our school family

International Red Panda Day 2025

On 20th September, our students visited Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Darjeeling, to take part in the celebration of International Red Panda Day.
It was a day of creativity, awareness, and fun as:
Two of our students, including our international student from Thailand, participated in the Mask-Making competition.
Two more students showcased their talent in the Poster-Making competition.
We are proud of our students for contributing their creativity to support the conservation of one of the world’s most endangered species – the Red Panda.
