It's time for AVALANCHE-The Battle of the
Bands at SRIJAN'14,one of the biggest fests of
Eastern India.
This time its big with Rock Street Journal as our

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
---Send your band's composition video as a youtube link or directly the video(upto 200 mb) to [email protected] or [email protected].
---Selected bands for prelims will be notified through email or phone and after that they will have to register online at www.srijanism.org.
---Prelims will be held on 28th March,2014 and finals on 29th March,2014.
---Registration fees: Rs 800 per member which includes accommodation for 3 days of the event, free pass to the headlining as well as the star night.
----After registration you need to send your band’s details (members, college, place, contact numbers) to [email protected] along with the money transfer receipt. A confirmation mail from us then confirms your registration.
RULES:
1. Bands from any college and music academies are allowed to participate.
2. All registrations have to be done online. No on the spot registrations will be entertained.
3. There will be two rounds, prelims and finals which will be held during the course of the festival.
4. Bands will have to bring their own musical instruments and effects. However programmed music is not allowed. Standard drum set will be provided.
5. Each band will be given 20(15 + 5) minutes for their performance in the prelims which also includes the sound check.
6. Each band will be allowed to perform as many tracks within the
stipulated time limit .A band will be required to perform at least
one original.
7. The number of members in a band should not be more than 8.
8. Judges’ decision will be final.
9. 4 bands would be shortlisted for the final round.
10. In the finals each band will be allowed 30 (25 + 5) minutes for their performance.
11. Avalanche reserves the right to make any changes in the
rules, without any prior notice and disqualify any participating
bands on grounds of misconduct or obscenity.
JUDGING CRITERIA:
1. Coordination
2. Stage Presence
3. Sound Clarity
4. Quality of vocals
5. Time efficiency: Bands will be penalized for over shooting the
time allotted to them.

Srijan 2014 Srijan is the annual socio-cultural fest of Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.
