About MLSM COLLEGE

After humble beginning in 1979 MLSM college has stepped into 32 years of its eventful existence withstanding many storms and buffets.

It has now become one of the best college of L.N. Mithila University , Darbhanga, Bihar. It has achieved the dignified status of a degree college in science, arts and commerce in 1984 with retrospective effect from 1979. It is imparting teaching of B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com. honours courses in 22 subjects.

It was converted to a constituent unit of LNMU, Darbhanga by the order of Govt. of Bihar in 1986. Thanks to the selfless devotion of its outstanding teachers and non-teaching employees that this college has achieved prominence among students yearning for higher learning.

It has expanded in all respect and continued its glorious tradition of disseminating higher education, Gradually there is a elevation of standard of teaching under the able leadership of the present principal Dr. Vidyanath Jha. Whole hearted cooperation of the legendary Vice Chancellor Dr. S.P. Singh and moral support of the syndicate member Dr. Baidyanath Chaudhary "Baiju".

To fulfill the missions of learners coming to the institute , new application oriented subjects are being started and more advanced subjects would also be started in near future. Efforts are being made to make this college a centre of learning on the national map
