Young Minds Explore India’s Energy Future at District Science Seminar in Daporijo.

Daporijo, 28 August 2026:
The District Level Science Seminar 2026-27 of Upper Subansiri District was successfully organised on Friday at Si Donyi Public School, Daporijo, by the Department of Education, Upper Subansiri District.

Held on the theme “Indian Energy Basket 2047: Prospects & Challenges,” the seminar brought together young minds from across the district to deliberate on India’s evolving energy landscape and the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. The event provided students with a platform to showcase their scientific knowledge, analytical abilities and awareness of emerging energy issues.

Shri Taw Dulom, District Project Officer (ISSE), Samagra Shiksha, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The presentations were evaluated by a panel of judges comprising Shri Miju Nayam, Shri Tado Rebi and Shri Sudhakar Mishra.

In a closely contested competition, Nandini Kumari of Class-X bagged the Third Prize.

On 14th August the school conducted Drawing, Essay writing and Speech competition in relation to 80th Independence Day. Some of the sweet glimpses.

Today our students created a Tricolour Flag Model together.
The flag was made using paper, while the base was prepared with clay made from soil.
This hands-on activity helped the children practise teamwork, explore textures, build creativity and develop fine motor skills. All the children participated enthusiastically.
