We are happy to inform you that we are going to release a themed issue on “The Performativity of Mask in Theatre and Culture” in our Peer-reviewed magazine, The Golden Line (ISSN 2395-1583 [Print], ISSN 2395-1591 [Online]) on 22.12.2021 at 6.30 PM. (IST). For this, we have arranged an online event in collaboration with the Department of Performing Arts, Presidency University, Kolkata.
To grace this occasion we have invited Prof Indranil Acharya, Professor of English, Vidyasagar University and Dr Pejjai Nagaraju, theatre director, scenic designer and acting trainer, Theatre Arts, University of Hyderabad, Dr Pabitra Kr. We are going to publish our special issue (Volume 4, Issue Number 1, 2021) on “The Performativity of Masks in Theatre and Culture” in our Peer-reviewed Magazine cm Journal of English Literature, The Golden Line [ISSN: 2395-1591 (Online) & ISSN: 2395-1583 (Print)].

This special issue shall primarily focus on the ‘Performativity of Mask’ in diverse theatrical and cultural contexts around the world. Call For the Editorial Assistant
Students of the Department of English, Bhatter College, Dantan are hereby informed that we run a prestigious magazine cm journal entitled The Golden Line: A Magazine of English Literature (ISSN: 2395-1591 [Online] ISSN: 2395-1583 [Print]) in our department. It has been five years since we are publishing The Golden Line: A Magazine of English Literature on diverse areas of Literature and Cultural Studies. We have started this online platform back in 2015 and worked hard to enrich this magazine taking interviews, articles, reflections, creative pieces from various experts, writers, academicians, scholars and students around the world.

For the smooth running of our magazine, we now require “Editorial Assistant” from the students of our department. Interested ones may apply by filling in the Google Form and submitting it by 12.11.2020. Selected names will be notified shortly.

Soon we are going to upload the next Call for Papers on “The Performativity of Masks in Theatre and Culture”. So, we need to complete the selection process very fast. If you have any query regarding this, feel free to write to the Editor via email .
