The ninth day ( Nabami) of Debi Paksh is purely dedicated to the Goddess Siddhidatri and this day is considered to be one of the most auspicious day. It is believed that on Navami, Goddess appeared in the form of Siddhidatri when all the deities were praying to the Goddess. Goddess Siddhidatri got pleased by them and bless all the deities with the boon that whenever they will be in trouble and pray the Goddess, Maa Durga will always come to rescue them from demons...

The eighth day ( Ashtami) of Debi Paksh falls on Maha Ashtami Tithi (eighth day of the waxing phase of moon) in the month of Ashvin. This day is marked by praying to Maa Mahagauri Devi. On the eighth day of Navratri, Ma Mahagauri is worshipped. She rides on a bull holding a trident in her hands along with a damaru. She wears white clothes and her face is resplendent like that of a cool moon showering benign blessings on her devotees..

Now we are heading towards the 7th day of Debi Paksh, which is dedicated to Goddess Kaalratri. This day occurs on the Saptami Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Chaitra. As it is described by the name Kaalratri - the one who is kaal which means death and Ratri means the night so it is said that she works against the darkness and she is the fiercest form of Goddess Durga. Maa Kaalratri, one of the form of Goddess Durga. She has a darker complexion, open hair and the one who wears the garland of Narmund. She has a gigantic structure having four hands. She is full of power, energy and fire....

She was born to destroy the evil from earth. She has four hands and holds a long sword in one of her hands and lotus in another two hands and her fourth hand is in Abhay Mudra as she blesses her devotees with her fourth hand...

The fifth day(Panchami) of Debi Paksh is dedicated to Goddess Skanda Mata, who is another form of Goddess Durga. People worship this form of Maa Durga on the fifth day of Debi Paksh. The meaning of 'Skanda Mata' is the mother of Lord Kartikeya, who is known as Skanda. Skanda Mata represents as she rides a lion and has four hands holding the infant kartikeya or Murugan in her lap. As Skanda Mata is in the motherly form, she is extremely pure, compassionate and divine super power who bless her devotees with the wish fulfilment and she never let her devotees returns empty hands....

The fourth day ( Chaturthi) of Debi Paksh holds a great importance as this day is dedicated to Maa Kushmanda. The name of the Goddess Kushmanda is derived from sanskrit in which Ku means - little, Ushma means energy and Anda refers to an egg. According to the Hindu scriptures it is believed that when Lord Vishnu was creating this universe then there was nothing except darkness then a formless light spread everywhere when she smiled which lighten up all the whole universe including galaxies, planets and she appeared in the form of the Goddess and that Goddess is known as Maa Kushmanda...

On the third day (Tritiya) of the debi paksh, it is customary to worship Maa Chandraghanta Devi. She rides on a tiger and there is a crescent moon decorating her forehead. The name Chandraghanta means the one with a moon in her forehead. Chandraghanta is the married form of Maa Durga. She is seen carrying ten weapons in her arms and stays ready for war with the demons and evil forces. The compassionate Goddess can come to the help of her devotees anytime and remove their afflictions in a second. The sound of her moon bell destroyed a lot of demons on the way clearing the path for the devotees to lead a happy and peaceful life...

The second day (Ditiya) is dedicated to the Goddess Brahmcharini. She is known to be the Goddess of penance. Goddess Brahmcharini wear white colour saree. She holds kamandal in her left hand and rosary in right hand. It is believed that those who offer prayers with full devotion, she bless her devotees with wisdom and knowledge. Goddess Brahmcharini is also known as Devi Yogni and Devi Tapasvini....

Hello everyone,Today we want to share a great news with you all.Our school which means the ' *Delhi World Public School -Hooghly* ' is going to start a new department which is *Lost and Found.*
Children’s in the school sometimes have lost many essential goods which they need for their daily purposes.This thing usually occurs in every schools for sure.So,after thinking about this matter our school has started this department where anyone can contact with us like:- students, staffs, guardians or visitors whoever has lost something very essential things inside the school campus of Delhi World Public School-Hooghly. If someone has got that thing inside our school and submitted to the *Lost and Found* team.They will surely try to return that thing to the respected person.
I hope you all have liked this huge step taken by Delhi World Public School-Hooghly.We all would be immensely happy if you all would join hands together and make all of us proud as a family..
