🇩🇪 **Germany Ends 3-Year Fast-Track Citizenship!**
In a major move, the German Parliament has officially **abolished the 3-year citizenship route** for exceptionally well-integrated immigrants.
Now, everyone will need **5 years of residence** to apply for citizenship.
This decision — passed with a strong majority — aims to “make citizenship recognition of integration, not the starting point.”
While the government calls it a step toward higher standards, critics say it could discourage skilled immigrants.
