Kendriya Vidyalaya, Cuttack was established in the civil sector in the year 1980. of Orissa. Resource room, Junior Science Lab, Art & Craft Lab, Music Room Etc.
It functioned at Circuit House , Nuapatana, Cuttack before being shifted to another temporary site at CB- 4, Cantonment Road, Cuttack in the year 1989. A full fledged B- 1 type permanent building was constructed at CDA Sector- 1 Bidanasi , Cuttack over the land measuring 7.2 acrcs provided by Govt. The school has been functioning in its permanent building since june – 2006. it has got 36 class roo

World Sparrow Day, I hope we all remember this bird.. With urbanization, this species is gradually disappearing from the cityscape (once used to be one of the prominent birds). To create awareness, 20th March is celebrated every year (since 2010) as WSD.

~The association between humans and the house sparrow dates back to several centuries. It is a bird that evokes fond memories and has thus found mention in folklore and songs from time immemorial. Unfortunately, the house sparrow is now a disappearing species. The various reasons can be destruction of its habitat to lack of insect food for the young and the increase in microwave pollution from mobile phone towers to demolition of old buildings (which used to good home for these birds)
The first WSD was celebrated on March 20, 2010 across the globe to celebrate the beauty of the house sparrow and to raise public awareness about the decline of the house sparrow and throw light on the problems faced by the species in its daily fight for survival.
