The largest and best school of Athagarh subdivision, BiswaNath Bidyapitha was established in pre-independence era by the contemporary King of Athagarh, Bisanath Das. Since the inception it has nurtured thousand of students, created many able individuals and excelled in diverse areas. The school boasts of being the best school in Kho-Kho competetion in Orissa and has produced many national players.
