Jan Shikshan Sansthan, Cuttack celebrated World Youth Skills Day on 15th July 2026 at its office premises with enthusiastic participation from more than 120 beneficiaries. The programme was graced by Mr. Binod Dash, Chairman and Managing Trustee of the Synergy Group of Institutions and Chairman of JSS Malkangiri & JSS Nabarangpur, as the Chief Guest, while Mr. Ghanashyam Shah, District Skill Development-cum-Employment Officer, attended as the Chief Speaker. They emphasized the importance of skill development in enhancing employability, entrepreneurship, and self-reliance among youth. Certificates were distributed to successful trainees, and the Chief Guest also visited the JSS Production Centre and Sales Outlet, where he appreciated the quality of the handmade products prepared by the beneficiaries.

It is a matter of great pride and privilege that Smt. Anima Dash, Director, Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS), Cuttack, was invited as a Guest Speaker on Skill Development at the 1 Odisha Battalion NCC Camp held at Ravenshaw Campus, Sector-13, CDA, Cuttack.

During the session, she highlighted the current status of skill development in the Indian context and explained the objectives, activities, and opportunities available under the JSS Scheme. She also shared inspiring success stories of JSS beneficiaries, which motivated and encouraged the NCC cadets to focus on skill enhancement, entrepreneurship, and livelihood opportunities.

The interaction provided valuable insights to the students about the importance of acquiring skills for personal growth, career development, and contributing towards the vision of a skilled India.

JSS Cuttack organized a Financial Literacy Workshop for its beneficiaries to promote financial awareness and responsible money management. The session covered topics such as budgeting, saving, banking services, digital payments, government financial schemes, and cyber fraud prevention. The beneficiaries actively participated and gained valuable knowledge to make informed financial decisions. The workshop was well received and reflected JSS Cuttack's commitment to empowering beneficiaries through financial education and inclusion.

Today, the Rotary Club of Cuttack generously donated a water cooler with storage facility to JSS Cuttack for the benefit of our trainees.
The programme was inaugurated by Rtn. Sujata Priyadarshini, President, Rotary Club of Cuttack, in the presence of Rtn. PP Sushanta Mohanty, Board Member, JSS Cuttack, along with Anima Dash ,Director of JSS Cuttack , staff members, and beneficiaries.
The installation of the water cooler will provide safe and clean drinking water to our beneficiaries and significantly improve their comfort and well-being during training sessions.
JSS Cuttack expresses its sincere gratitude to the Rotary Club of Cuttack for this thoughtful contribution and their continued support towards skill development and community welfare.
