The article is titled “Analyzing the issues in the IPO of API Holdings Limited”. It foregrounds on certain issues which have been raised after the approval of PharmEasy’s IPO. The article outlines the issues which were put forward by SCDA and other organizations against the IPO including the legality of e-pharmacies in India, absence of approval from CCI and corporate structure and protecting the interests of investors. The article, therefore, aims to provide an elementary introduction of blockchain technology and the due diligence impediments faced during the usage of such technology in M&A. The authors touch upon various facets of privacy, intellectual property and taxation to showcase that the Indian laws have a long way to go in providing clarity with respect to blockchain usage in M&A.

The article is titled "Reassessing Legality of Emergency Arbitrators: Criticizing the Amazon-Future Judgment." It highlights the legality of an Emergency Arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 against the backdrop of the Amazon-Future case. While the Supreme Court's ruling promotes a pro-arbitration approach, this article explores the implication of the same. It does so by arguing that the justification given by the Court is unreasoned. Further, the author provides an analysis and critique of the Supreme Court judgment as well.

CCL is pleased to announce that as a part of its guest lecture series, it successfully conducted a session on Roles and Responsibilities of an In-House Counsel by Ms. Roop Loomba, General Counsel, Rolls Royce.
The session briefly covered the nuances of an In house legal Counsel including the career trajectory, responsibilities, the need to understand business and finance, the need of having experience in litigation, the subjects and areas of law one must be apprised with.

The Centre for Corporate Law, NLUO is delighted to share that it is organising the fourth segment of its Guest Lecture Series with Ms. Roop Loomba on “ Roles and Responsibilities of an In-house counsel.” The guest lecture is scheduled for 13 February 2022 (Sunday).
Ms. Roop is the General Counsel, Head of Ethics and Compliance, Rolls Royce India and South Asia. She has over 20 years of experience in Legal Operations encompassing Legal Strategy planning, Business Partnering, Business Divestment, etc. We are extremely grateful to her for devoting her personal time to share her experience and expertise in this field with us.
