Admissions are now open for the Certificate and Diploma Courses in Geoinformatics offered by the Cooch Behar College, under the UGC-NSQF framework and affiliated to Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University. The courses provide practical knowledge in GIS, Remote Sensing, GPS, Drone Technology and modern geospatial techniques, creating opportunities in research, planning and various technical sectors. Interested students can apply online without any application fee before 19 May 2026.

The UG 6th Semester Geography students of Cooch Behar College successfully completed their excursion to Mirik & Sittong, Darjeeling. 🌄

Under the constant guidance of our respected teachers, students carried out extensive fieldwork and surveys, gaining valuable practical knowledge and research experience.

Along with academic learning, the trip was filled with beautiful moments, teamwork, and unforgettable memories.

✨ Educational Excursion 2026 ✨

Our P.G. 2nd Semester students from the Department of Geography, Cooch Behar College, successfully completed an enriching educational excursion to Gangtok, Sikkim from 16th to 19th April, 2026.

During this academic tour, students actively participated in field surveys, gaining practical insights and hands-on experience beyond the classroom. The excursion not only enhanced their geographical understanding but also strengthened their research and observational skills.

Alongside academic learning, students enjoyed the breathtaking landscapes, serene environment and vibrant culture of the region, making the journey both educational and memorable.

A perfect blend of learning, exploration, and enjoyment — truly reflecting the spirit of “Explore, Learn, Map.” 🌍✨

📢 Successful Completion of Special Lecture Series 🎓🌍

We are delighted to share that the second special lecture on
“Spectral Signature & Image Interpretation” was successfully conducted in hybrid mode (online & offline).

The session saw active participation from students of UG, PG, and Geoinformatics, creating a vibrant and engaging learning environment. The lecture offered valuable insights into remote sensing techniques and image interpretation, enriching the academic experience of all attendees.

We extend our special thanks to our respected Principal Sir for continuous support and Resource Person Dr. Jayanta Das for valuable support and insightful contribution. We also thank all participants for their enthusiastic involvement.
