Swachhata Pakhwada 2026

The Elisabeth Gauba School organised the Swachhata Pakhwada in the school, from 1st to 15th September, 2026, promoting cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation and responsible waste management among students and the school community.

Swachhata Pakhwada activities commenced with a Swachhata Shapath, followed by awareness activities among the students from classes Nursery - V, highlighting the importance of cleanliness.

Swachhata Participation Days included activities like 'Hand Wash Days' to sensitise students about proper handwashing, water conservation and safe hygiene practices. Students also participated in creative activities like slogan writing, essay writing, painting, quiz, debate, skit, poem and model-making competitions based on the theme of Swachhata or cleanliness. A Swachhata School Exhibition was also organised, where students displayed models and exhibits using recycled and waste materials. Personal Hygiene Day focused on healthy habits such as regular bathing, keeping nails clean, wearing clean clothes, brushing teeth twice a day and maintaining hygienic toilet and drinking-water practices.

The campaign also included community outreach activities. The fortnightly activities concluded with Principal, Mrs Monica Ahuja Rao, awarding the certificates to the students of the school.

The Swatcchata Pakhwada activities succeeded in fostering a sense of cleanliness, responsibility and environmental awareness among the school students and encouraged them to make Swachhata a regular part of their daily lives.

TEGS Annual Show for Classes III - V | Time Travel to 2050

On 22nd August 2026, the young changemakers of Classes III, IV & V at The Elisabeth Gauba School took us on an extraordinary journey into the future with their spectacular musical, 'Time Travel to 2050': AI, Sustainability and Humanity.

Through vibrant music, energetic dance and powerful storytelling, our students depicted a future where AI and technology go hand in hand with sustainability, compassion and humanity.

From the energetic 'Tik Tik Time Machine' to the soulful 'Hum Deep Shiksha Ke Hain,' the journey celebrated education and the power of young minds to shape the future. The students also brought the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) alive on stage.

With performances like 'Send It On', 'No Hunger Anymore', 'We Are the Dreamers' and 'We Are in It Together', the show resonated with a powerful message: the future is a shared responsibility!

The event was honoured by the presence of Chairperson, Shiv Niketan Education Society, Dr. Ranjana Kaul, who applauded the students' confidence and creativity.

Principal, Ms Monica Ahuja Rao, appreciated the dedication of the students and teachers and the thoughtful integration of learning, values, creativity and performance reminding us that while technology will drive the future, it is our values that will define it.

A special interactive feedback session with parents added to the celebration, allowing them to share their appreciation and reflect on the enriching experience.

'Time Travel to 2050' was a journey of imagination, awareness and hope teaching us that the world of tomorrow is shaped by the choices we make today!

TEGS Celebrates Janmashtami, Teachers' Day and Founder's Day

On 1st September 2026, The Elisabeth Gauba School organised a special Assembly celebrating Janmashtami, Teachers’ Day and Founders’ Day—a beautiful blend of gratitude and our school’s cherished legacy.

The celebrations began with the soulful ‘Achyutam Keshavam’ by the School Choir, followed by our adorable Pre-Nursery & Nursery buds singing ‘Chhote Chhote Gaiya’ and an energetic dance by our KG children.

Students of Classes III, IV and V added meaning to the occasion through beautiful shlokas, dohas and a presentation on the significance of Teachers’ Day.

Founders’ Day paid tribute to our beloved founder, Mrs. Elisabeth Gauba (Aunty Gauba) wherein Class V beautifully presented her vision and the timeless values that continue to shape TEGS.

A particularly touching moment was the KG presentation of ‘Naach Raha Hai Mera Mann’, a much-loved song by our beloved Gauba Aunty—a heartfelt tribute that made the celebration truly special.

Class V then dedicated a special song to their teachers, expressing gratitude for their guidance, care and encouragement.

The celebrations extended into classrooms throughout the week, with students from Nursery to Class V exploring Janmashtami, Teachers’ Day and Founders’ Day through creative art and craft activities.

In her inspiring address, Principal, Ms. Monica Ahuja Rao reflected on Aunty Gauba’s vision and the values that continue to guide TEGS. She encouraged children to embrace Lord Krishna’s values of love, kindness and compassion, and to always remain grateful to their parents and teachers, treating them with love and respect.

We were also delighted to welcome Ms. Manju Upadhyay from Shiv Niketan Education Society, who addressed the children and shared her warm wishes.

The special celebration brought together music, dance, creativity and meaningful reflections, making it a memorable occasion for everyone.
