GLIMPSE OF ALVERNIA
Alvernia Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Ramanathapuram, Cbe-45,
a recognized and reputed Educational Institution came into existence on 20th June 1966, with the motto “Per Aspera Ad Astra” – Success Through Hardship with 3 nursery kids, catering education to both the genders initially. But now 3144 girls are educated.
In 1978, the school attained the position of Higher Secondary School and the First Batch of students appeared for the Higher Secondary Board Examination in 1980 and secured 100% Result.
Every effort is made by the institution to create in each ward a perfect humane. Hitherto, Alvernia has been conducting seminars, equipping both children and teachers to be spiritually stronger, academically able and socially sound.
The entire school has been divided into four unique groups headed by Captains and Assistant Captains assigned each with responsibility of discipline.
Our staff tries their utmost to coach and maintain a cordial relationship between students and parents and enable the children to feel the homely and friendly ambience in the school premises. Consequently, Alvernia has been maintaining the consistency in achieving State and District Ranks in Higher and Higher Secondary Board Examinations. There has been a considerable number of centum in all the subjects.
We have been inculcating and nurturing the traits of life in order to cater to their needs at various situations of life. We never forgo any opportunities of celebrative occasions like the Independence Day, Teachers’ Day, Children’s day, etc.
Every year, our school conducts various competitions in the field like Sports, Art & Literary, Karate, Basketball, Yoga, Judo, Boxing, Silambam, Taekwondo, Lawn Tennis, Ball Badminton, etc. Our students excel in all these fields up to the International Level
The taste, desire and preference of the society keep changing with the phase of change and attitude. Hence, upgradation, reformation and dynamism have become the new policies.
