International Day of Yoga 2026 – Wrapped! 🧘‍♂️✨

Amrita Coimbatore successfully observed IDY 2026 at Main Ground with the theme Yoga for Healthy Ageing.

Swami Tapasyamritananda Puri graced the event with Divya Sannidhyam. Justice D. Balu & Smt. Ambika, Sub Judge, Salem addressed the gathering. Mr. B. Senthil Kumar led the International Yoga Protocol practice.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore Campus, hosted SADGAMAYA 2026, a two-day Cultural and Spiritual Retreat designed to harmonize academic excellence, ethical values, and spiritual growth.

Faculty, academicians, and participants engaged in meditation, Sangaganam sessions, interactive workshops, and reflective dialogue. Highlights included profound discourses by Poojya Swami Tapasyamritananda Puri, Poojya Swami Shubhamritananda Puri, and Br. Chidanandamrita Chaitanya, along with practical sessions on mindfulness, stress management, and value-based learning.

A retreat that inspired self-reflection, holistic learning, and community connection, reaffirming Amrita’s vision of Education for Life and Integral Human Development.

NBA Accreditation for 4 B.Tech programs at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Coimbatore campus

4 B.Tech programs at Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Coimbatore campus have secured re-accreditation by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). B.Tech Aerospace, Civil, and Chemical Engineering programs have secured NBA accreditation for 3 years, while the B.Tech Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) program has secured accreditation for 6 years. NBA Accreditation is a program accreditation that primarily focuses on conceptualisation and implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) with respect to curriculum, teaching-learning process & pedagogy and assessment as also measurable outcomes in terms of placement, higher studies and entrepreneurship of graduates of the program. Other metrics include student performance, faculty contributions, infrastructure & facilities, student support, governance and sustainability. Dr. Prashant R. Nair, Associate Director, IQAC said, “This is an excellent result for the second cycle of accreditation for these 4 programs. All eligible 7 B.Tech programs at Coimbatore campus are NBA accredited and across the university, 15 B.Tech programs are NBA accredited including ones at Amritapuri and Bangalore campuses”
