Van Mahotsav Celebrations

Our learners celebrated Van Mahotsav with great enthusiasm and a clear purpose. The main objective was to raise awareness about the importance of forests, woodlands, and trees in our environment while also instilling the habit of nurturing plants in our local communities.

Students from Grades 1 to 8 actively participated in diverse activities during the event. They sowed seeds, created a Bug Hotel, made banana Peel Tonic, prepared natural pesticides, and grew garlic in water. These engaging activities brought immense joy to the learners, inspiring them to adopt some of these practices in their own homes.

By celebrating Van Mahotsav at our school, our aim is to foster a deep appreciation for nature and encourage our children to take an active role in conserving trees and forests for a greener and healthier future.

Exploring Flavours

In an interactive session, our Pre-Primary learners had the chance to explore a variety of flavors: sweet, spicy, salty, sour, and bitter. We exhibited food items such as sugar, salt, pepper, lemon, and neem leaf.

The children participated with enthusiasm and curiosity, relishing the distinct tastes of each item.

It was heartwarming to see their delight as they savored the foods and learned to recognize and differentiate the five basic taste qualities.

This activity also contributed to their sensory development and understanding of different flavors and provided a truly enriching experience for our young learners.

Nurturing Exploration and Imagination

The most valuable gift we can offer our children is the freedom to explore.

At CVM, we go the extra mile by providing a dedicated sand area for our young learners to embark on a journey of discovery, creativity, and imagination. Sand play is not only fun but also provides countless developmental benefits to infants and toddlers.

Playing in the sand allows them to engage with various textures and shapes, fostering their sensory development.

Additionally, it encourages interaction and collaboration with their peers, promoting important social skills such as sharing, turn-taking, and conflict resolution. Witnessing the joy radiating from a child's smile as they learn and grow is truly rewarding.
