The autonomous college has been approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and has been affiliated to Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore. The college was started with Dr. Govindan Kutty as the first principal. The courses are accredited by NBA. The college is located at

Mayileripalayam village near Othakkalmandapam, 16 km from Coimbatore. It is accessible by all means of transportation, to the major cities across India. Located over a 36-acre campus, the college houses nearly 400,000 square feet of buildings. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
