5 years have gone by in a flash... Remembering you today with love, respect and fondness... Though you were deeply philosophical and spiritual, you also lived in the moment - happy, contented and with a smile on your face. Few offbeat pics of you in your naturally relaxed and joyous self...

Appa, It is now 4 years since you have passed on... You continue to remain in our hearts & minds in a deeper way than before.

We think of your laughter & old jokes in times of celebration, think of your guidance in meditation and think of your life as a role model to aspire to. You remain our moral compass.

Found a few older pictures - I just realize how stylish you were as well. :)

Three years have passed by... But you are in our hearts and minds in a deeper, subtler way.

When the world around seems to be going through chaotic times and there is fear, we remember how completed your prayers three times a day chanting "Vazhga Vaiyagam! Vazhga Valamudan!" (Long live the Universe! Be blessed by the Divine).

When at the personal level, there is confusion, we remember how taught introspection and the abbreviation of "GoD" as "Go Deep". Go Deep within oneself. You pointed out how in Tamil, கடவுள் can also mean "கட"(Go) "உள்" (inside).

We remember you with fond memories... You continue you to guide us as father, teacher...

Though it has been a year since our father has passed on, he lives on in our minds everyday...

But from his favorite Sivapuranam, his words would likely say:

புல்லாகிப் பூடாய்ப் புழுவாய் மரமாகிப்
பல்விருக மாகிப் பறவையாய்ப் பாம்பாகிக்
கல்லாய் மனிதராய்ப் பேயாய்க் கணங்களாய்
வல்அசுர ராகி முனிவராய்த் தேவராய்ச்
செல்லாஅ நின்ற இத்தாவர சங்கமத்துள்....

எல்லாப் பிறப்பும் பிறந்திளைத்தேன் எம்பெருமான்
மெய்யேஉன் பொன்னடிகள் கண்டின்று வீடுற்றேன்.....

(English Translation)
Oh lord! By becoming grass, small plants, worms, trees,
Several types of animals, birds, snakes,
Stones, human beings, ghosts, different types of spirits,
Strong asuras, sages, devas,
And I travelled all over this spectrum of moving and not moving things,
And took all types of births and completed my duties.
Truly I have attained salvation seeing your golden feet.

Widely travelled around the world with a childlike curiosity in seeing buildings, museums. Visited Many places in the UK, Europe, US and India... Here are a few pics from his travels.
