DD.,DCL., Bishop Emeritus of the diocese of Coimbatore, became the memorable occasion to fulfil the genuine wishes of the community by favouring the establishment of this co-educational institution in the city. The Bishop Ambrose College was started in the year 1997 for the sole purpose of giving quality and affordable education to the leader of tomorrow. The Bishop Ambrose College, Ramanathapuram, Coimbatore is a co-educational institution was formally inagurated by his Excellency, the then Bishop of Coimbatore on 3rdNovember 1997. After obtaining continuation of provisional afiliation for the academic year 1998-99, the college moved to its own building built in a spacious campus at College Nagar, near Sungam by-pass Road, in January 1999. To be an institution that will offer affordable world-class education to all classes of students in order to uplift the society we serve, by nurturing human values and ethics and by imparting knowledge, which emphasizes on life skills.
