SIMUN Day 3

The three day conferences of South Indian Model United Nations (SIMUN) Chapter IV provided a platform for more than thousand delegates across South India to resolve several world issues. They voiced out opinions through intense debates, critical thinking, and teamwork by taking on the role of diplomats from various countries
SIMUN provided the platform to nourish the young minds to view the world problems through a refined humanitarian lens and encouraged the participants to be responsible global citizens of tomorrow.

SIMUN Day 3

The resolution papers were explained and debated upon by the different blocs on the third day, followed by votes being taken to decide on the Resolution Paper to be passed. Knowledge of English, International Relations and the United Nations Development Goals are useful in demonstrating empathy, inclusion and informed decision-making. We were proud to witness the manner in which our students showcased their leadership and presentation skills in rigorous committees at SIMUN.

SIMUN Day 3

"We share a common destiny. We can master it only if we face it together and work towards a peaceful and free world"

Day 3 of SIMUN concluded with a memorable closing ceremony, at The Indian Public School Coimbatore, blessed with the gracious presence of Ms. Vanathi Srinivasan, a notable lawyer and politician who is serving as Member of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from Coimbatore South Constituency. The commendable delegates received awards titled Best Delegation, High Commendation and Special Mention. SIMUN Chapter IV was indeed an amazing accomplishment among the South Indian school circuit, especially after a gap of two years of the pandemic. SIMUN truly aims at providing a platform to nourish the young minds to view the world problems through a refined humanitarian lens and encouraged the participants to be responsible global citizens of tomorrow. Retaining the aspects that made SIMUN a well-regarded MUN, it will continue expanding its reaches upward and outward to make it the epitome of a real MUN experience.

We believe that there is inherent worth in bringing together diverse groups of students with process of gaining knowledge and laying the foundation for openness and understanding.

SIMUN Day 2 gains momentum with more hype,stronger opinions and bigger debates! The day commenced with a leadership forum where Mr. J. Premanand Commissioner of income tax (OSD), International Taxation addressed the delegates.
The committee sessions continue in full gear as they draw close to the final day.

The second day of SIMUN, auspiciously placed on both Vishu and the universal day of culture, commenced with a few words of wisdom from our guest speaker, Mr. J. Premanand. Inaugurating the event with a beautifully performed prayer song, the guest speaker was briefly introduced to the audience. Mr. J. Premanand is the current Commissioner of income tax (OSD), International Taxtation, Chennai. The wise words shared by our chief guest had definitely created an impact on our students, leaving them smarter and wise thoughts.
