Manchester International School Celebrates Independence Day and Annual Sports Day in Grand Style
Coimbatore: Manchester International School celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day along with its Annual Sports Day today in a grand and vibrant manner.
The event was organised to foster patriotism, unity, discipline and sportsmanship among students. Students, parents and teachers participated enthusiastically in the various activities and events conducted throughout the day.
Special programmes marking Independence Day reflected a strong spirit of patriotism. The students’ march-past and other presentations highlighted the pride of India, the sacrifices of the nation’s freedom fighters and the importance of national unity.
As part of the Annual Sports Day, various competitions and special events were conducted to showcase students’ sporting abilities, physical fitness, teamwork and sportsmanship. The enthusiastic participation of parents and teachers alongside the students added further energy and excitement to the celebrations.
The Chairman of the school, Dr. P. S. Moorthi, and Correspondent Priya Moorthi graced the occasion and presented medals and certificates to the winners of the various competitions, appreciating their achievements.
The event also highlighted the school’s commitment to developing students beyond academic achievement by nurturing sportsmanship, physical fitness, leadership, teamwork, self-confidence and patriotism.
