As part of an innovative teaching–learning initiative, the final year students of TEED organized an exhibition to showcase their innovative projects to the final year B.Voc. Automobiles students on 08.04.2026. The main objective of this exhibition was to demonstrate the practical applications of the concepts learned in their curriculum. The projects were conceptualized, designed, developed, and presented by the students themselves, reflecting their technical proficiency and creativity in the fields of Electrical, Electronics, and Automobiles. The event provided a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and encouraged innovation and interdisciplinary learning among students.
The following projects were exhibited by the final-year students:
o Home Automation and Security System
o Design and Development of Smart Agriculture using Arduino and Bluetooth
o Automatic Fire Extinguishing and Alert System using Arduino

One - Day Fire Safety and First Aid Training Programme was conducted in association with Disaster Management Centre of our College to the final year students of B.Voc. Programmes on 02.04.2026. Mr. Vandematharam A. Madhavan, Director, Agni Voice of Safety, Coimbatore acted as a resource person. Totally, 33 students of III B.Voc. Programme attended and got benefited by this training.
Technical Session:
The hands-on technical sessions were conducted to the students as detailed below.
Session I - Emergency Preparedness in Industry
In this session, following topics are covered with required examples and hands - on training
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation), First aid Emergency procedure
Session II - Road Safety
In this session, students gain knowledge about Road safety in following topics.
• Traffic Rules, Signs and signals, Servicing and maintenance.
Session III - Domestic Safety
In this session, following topics are covered by expert to enhance the knowledge of students
• LPG leakage, Acid Handling, Electrical safety, Fire safety

The College Day and Sports Day Celebrations for the academic year 2025–2026 were held on 17.03.2026 at the Vidyalaya Venkatakrishnan Indoor Stadium. The programme commenced with a prayer song.
Sri R. Sivapandi, Chairman of the Students’ Union, welcomed the gathering. Swami Tadbhashananda, Assistant Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, presided over the function and delivered the Presidential Address. Swami Harinathananda, In-charge (Unaided Wing), delivered the Special Address. Dr. K. Kandappan, Secretary of the College, presented the Felicitation Address.
Dr. S. Gurugnanambiga, Assistant Professor of Tamil, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered the College Day Address. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of education and highlighted the collective responsibility of parents, teachers, and educational institutions in shaping the future of students.
On this occasion, the College honoured the faculty members retiring in the current academic year. Faculty members who had been awarded doctoral degrees and those who received funds for organizing conferences were also felicitated. In addition, Best Outgoing Students and outstanding Sports Achievers were honoured by the Chief Guest, Secretary, and Principal.
The College Magazine for the academic year 2025–2026 was released by Swami Tadbhashananda and received by the dignitaries. Subsequently, Dr. A. Muthusamy, Principal of the College, presented the Annual Report for the academic year 2025–2026 through a video presentation.
The cultural programmes performed by the students were highly appreciated by the audience. Sri M. Kumaravel, Secretary of the Students’ Union, proposed the Vote of Thanks.
The programme was attended by all students, faculty members, and Heads of Departments. The function concluded with the National Anthem.

As part of regular academic activities, a workshop on Environmental Studies was jointly organized by the Department of Chemistry, the Curriculum Development Cell (CDC) and Dept. of Environment and Climate Change Govt. of Tamil Nadu on 24.02.2026 for first-year students (BSc, BA, BCom, BCA) at the GKD Auditorium from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The event commenced with a prayer song, followed by a welcome address delivered by Dr. R. Bharathi Kannan, Associate Professor of Physics, SRMV CAS, and the introductory address was delivered by Dr. G. Raja, Head of the Department of Chemistry. Subsequently, the presidential address was given by Dr. K. Kandappan, Secretary, SRMV CAS. Dr. A. Muthusamy, Principal of SRMV CAS delivered a special address. Furthermore, Dr. V. Dhanapal, Assistant Professor of Chemistry proposed a vote of thanks during the inauguration.
A high tea was offered to the participants upon completion of the inauguration programme.
During the technical sessions, Dr. V. Dhanapal delivered a talk on an overview of Environmental Studies, in which he highlighted topics such as an introduction to the environment and natural resources, ecosystems and biodiversity, climate change & its consequences, environmental legislation, and human health and the environment. Later, Dr. A. Murugesh, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, delivered a talk on environmental pollution, its causes, effects, and control measures. Furthermore, Dr. G. Ayyannan, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, presented a session on social issues and the environment. Finally, a quiz-based assessment was conducted to evaluate the participants' understanding. The top performers in the assessment were rewarded with certificates and prizes. Dr. R. Bharathi Kannan and Dr. G. Raja, distributed the prizes to the winners during the valedictory session. The event was coordinated by Dr. R. Bharathi Kannan, Dr. G. Raja and Dr. V. Dhanapal. A total of 450 students benefited from this event. Besides, members of faculty, heads of various departments have attended the programme.

The Commissioning Ceremony of New Computers at Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science (Unaided wing) was held on 03.02.2026. The programme was formally inaugurated by Sri V. Prabhakaran, Site Manager, and Sri K. Baskar, Senior Officer (Administration and Accounts), Watsun Infra Build Private Limited in the presence of Swami Garishthananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya. Dr. R. Sridhar, Director of the College of Arts and Science, briefed the gathering on the configuration and features of the newly installed computers and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the donor representatives for their generous contribution. Monks of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Heads of various Vidyalaya institutions, faculty members, and students of the college participated in the function.

The Free Laptop Distribution Programme sponsored by the Government of Tamil Nadu to the students of Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science was organized on 30.01.2026, at the GKD Auditorium.
The programme formally commenced with the rendering of Tamil Thai Vazhthu. The gathering was welcomed by the Principal of the College, Dr. A. Muthusamy. The function was presided over by Mr. V. Vishva Prakash, Chairman, Periyanaickenpalayam Town Panchayat, who delivered the presidential address.
Dr. P. Selvam, Principal (i/c), Government Arts and Science College, Thondamuthur, and District Nodal Officer for the Free Laptop Distribution Scheme, attended the function as the Chief Guest.
In his address, the Chief Guest elucidated the objectives of the Government scheme, emphasizing the importance of digital access in higher education and underscoring the need for students to utilize the laptops effectively as instruments for academic enrichment and skill development.
Dr. K. Kandappan, Secretary of the College, offered the felicitation address, highlighting the institutional commitment to student welfare and technological empowerment. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. R. Sivapandi, Chairman of the Students’ Council.
The programme concluded with the successful distribution of 457 laptop computers to the eligible students, thereby reinforcing the Government’s initiative to promote digital literacy and equitable access to educational resources.

Vidyalaya Foundation Day - 2026

The 77th Republic Day was celebrated by all Vidyalaya Institutions very graciously at the Maruthi College Physical Education ground on 26.01.2026. Swami Garishthananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Institutions, the Chief Guest of the day hoisted the tricolor National Flag. After the programme, the students and faculty members assembled in our College campus. Dr. K. Kandappan, Secretary of the College hoisted the National Flag at Aided wing and Swami Harinathananda, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya hoisted the National Flag at Un-aided wing respectively.
Dr. A. Muthusamy, Principal of the College, all the Heads of the Departments, faculty members and students participated in this function. National Anthem was sung and the celebrations ended fruitfully with sweets distribution.

‘Pongal’, the festival of harvest was celebrated in a grand manner at Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore - 20, on 10 January 2026. Swami Garishthananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, monks and the Heads of all Vidyalaya institutions participated and blessed the gathering with their presence.
As one of the traditional festivals of our Tamil culture, Pongal has got the significance of being celebrated by all Tamilians as Tamilar Thirunal and devoted to the worship of “Sun, Goddess Earth, Cattle and Farmers”. In order to glorify the rich culture of the Tamilians, the following traditional games were conducted for the students: Silambatam, Pambaram, Chart Paper walking, Over the border relay, C**k fight show, Sack-race, Potato Picking, Slow Cycle race made the occasion a memorable one. A Baduga dance performance by students and faculty members portraying the traditional Nilgiris culture and its added additional flavour to the programme.
As a part of the Pongal celebrations, our students created a model temple on the campus. Student-teams of all departments of the College took active participation in the ‘Pongal Preparation’ and the ‘Rangoli’ contests. The Department of Mathematics won the rolling trophy for the Pongal Preparation, and the Department of Chemistry won the trophy for the Rangoli competition. The Overall Rolling Trophy for sports events was achieved by the Department of Physical Education, Health Education, and Sports.
Besides boosting up the spirit of Tamil culture and tradition, the entire programme served as an ideal entertainment for the audience. Finally, Swami Garishthananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Dr. K. Kandappan, Secretary, Dr. A. Muthusamy, Principal and Dr. R. Sridhar, Director of our College gave away the trophies to the winners of the various events conducted in connection with the Pongal Celebrations.
