Yesterday was Sports Day! A large playground, the canopy of trees, an audience to cheer and loads of enthusiasm..
We raced, played ball games, jumped in and out of rings, oh had so much fun. A big thank you to the Gem Nirmaalayam community for hosting and cheering for us. At the end of the day what matters is the participation,🏆🏆🏅are a bonus!!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

School closed for the winter break yesterday after Christmas celebrations. What a joy it was to have at least a few kids on the campus! The place came alive with songs and laughter after 8 months...parents too loved the change. May the new year usher in good times!

4 months of online classes! Who would have thought of the possibility, if not for the pandemic. While not the optimal solution, these classes have helped us stay in touch with our children and parents. The reviews by the parents have been very appreciative and we must thank the mothers for their deep involvement.

Celebrating Onam has always been a great tradition at Rainbow Bridge and as the first day of Onam starts today, there is a heaviness in the heart...we will not be able to have our pookolam or our feast this year...may the pandemic end soon is all we can pray for.

Started online classes for our kids from yesterday, we were apprehensive how the children would react, respond. Despite problems of poor connectivity and technical glitches, it has turned out to be a great experience. Though not vocal, children beamed, happy to see their friends. They were assisted by their parents, helping the child follow the instructions by the teacher. Most made eye contact on the camera, and seemed in their comfort zones working from home. We sang our circle songs, did some art work and revised a few concepts. Tough times can never get us down!!
