Our Automobile Engineering Department Association hosted a spectacular Reverse Engineering Event on 19th December 2023, and it was a roaring success! ๐
From gears turning to creativity sparking, our participants brought their A-game in the world of reverse engineering. It was a symphony of skills and innovation that filled the room.
A massive thanks to our HOD , JD Andrew Pon Abraham, for his keen evaluation based on design complexity, time efficiency, and overall brilliance. ๐ The results are in, and they're nothing short of spectacular!

We are Excited to share the unforgettable moments from our Department Association Inaugural Ceremony, where we had the honor of hosting Mr. Vaidyaraman Venkatesan, Technical Director Engineering Talent and Transformation from Bosch Global Software Services, as our esteemed Chief Guest.
The ceremony commenced with a soulful prayer song, followed by the traditional lighting of the kuthuvilaku.
Our HOD Dr.Andrew J D emphasised the significance of the student association and its role and engagement for the development of the academic community. Mr.Kishore R, had taken over as our Faculty Coordinator for the Department Association once again after a brief hiatus, welcomed everyone to the event.
A moment of pride as members received their badges, Capturing the unity and enthusiasm of our department. In conjunction with our Department Association Inaugural, we also celebrated the launch of the SAE Club with office bearers from across the mechanical engineering cluster, marking a new era of innovation and collaboration.
The Chief Guest inspired all of us with a content on the future of the automotive industry, focusing on social commitment, leadership, and the fast lane of progress. Mr. Vaidyaraman shared invaluable insights that left a lasting impact on our audience.
Kamalaparvathi, Student President, outlined the exciting plans for the year. Parasuram, Student Vice-President, concluded the ceremony with gratitude and anticipation for the journey ahead.

๐ Empowering Women in Automobile Engineering: A Remarkable Session! ๐
โจ The Department Association of Automobile Engineering recently Organised ๐ Graduate Colloquium for Women in Automobile Engineering.
The recent session tailored exclusively for our women students, we had the honor of hosting Mrs. Mahalakshmi, a 2015 pass-out and a driving force behind the all-women production team at Ashok Leyland. Her journey from being a student in these very halls to leading a dynamic team is nothing short of inspiring.
๐ Mrs. Mahalakshmi graciously shared her invaluable experiences and insights into the world of Automobile Engineering. From overcoming challenges to achieving milestones, she provided a firsthand account of her remarkable career. Her journey is a testament to the limitless potential that women possess in the automotive industry.๐ฉโ๐ This session served as a beacon of inspiration for our women students, encouraging them to pursue their passions fearlessly. Her journey exemplifies that with determination, perseverance, and a passion for one's craft, there are no limits to what can be achieved.

The 14th Board of Studies meet of marked a significant remark on Curriculum Improvement based on the current Industry expectations, as professionals from top automotive industries sivaraman thambidurai from Caterpillar, Vaidyaraman Venkatesan from Bosch , and Mahalakshmi Sukumar from Ashok Leyland joined forces with educators from institutions like Dr. S. KANAGA LAKSHMI NIT, Leenus Martin from SRM and Rajam Ramasamy from CIT as Anna University nominee.
Valuable insights were shared on the evolving automotive technologies, with a focus on bridging the gap between academic learning and practical application. The efforts of our faculty members and inputs of students added a holistic perspective to the deliberations resulting in addition of 7 new elective course for the current curriculum and structuring the framework for upcoming programme. The atmosphere allowed us for a deep exploration of curriculum modifications, ensuring that it remains dynamic and relevant to the fast-paced changes in the industrial landscape.
Todayโs BOS meeting served as a platform for constructive dialogue, fostering a stronger bond between academia and industry to shape the education landscape for the benefit of students and the workforce alike.
