Cyber Safety and Adolescent Vulnerabilities - Awareness Programme

Bharathi School hosted a Cyber Crime Awareness programme organised by the Office of the Commissioner of Police, in collaboration with the Social Justice and Human Rights Department, Tamil Nadu.The interactive session on "Cyber Safety and Adolescent Vulnerabilities" was conducted for Grade 10 students by the Resource Persons, M.r V. P. Sakthivel Murugan, SSI and Ms. P. Shanthi, SSI, from the Social Justice & Human Rights Department, Tamil Nadu.

The Resource Persons elucidated how the digital world can cross the line into human rights violations, exploitation, and social injustice. The lecture addressed the following critical interconnected traps that increasingly target teenagers today, such as financial frauds (wrong calls), driving without a licence, digital extortion, love traps, and the dark web/drug nexus. Anonymous real-world case files from the state's law enforcement and social services agencies were analysed to highlight how minor digital mistakes can escalate into severe personal, emotional, and legal crises.

Bharathi commemorates the 80th Independence Day

Bharathi School celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great pride and patriotic fervour. The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the tricolour by Mrs. V. H. Mary Novate, Principal, in the presence of Mr. Neil Guha, Senior Principal. The flag song was rendered with patriotic spirit.

The highlight of the celebrations was the impressive parade featuring the Cubs and Bulbuls, Scouts and Guides, and the cadets of the Army and Air Wings of NCC. The formation drill by the Cubs & Bulbuls and the Scouts & Guides and the Independence Day Parade by NCC cadets (Army & Air Wings) showcased their confidence, discipline, coordination, and team spirit.

A defining moment of the celebration was the ceremonial handover of the squad, involving the change of the sword and flag, symbolising the transfer of leadership and responsibility to the next troop of Senior Cadets. The Senior Cadets were honoured with certificates and Best Cadet trophies in recognition of their dedication, discipline, and achievements.

The ID celebrations continued with the Passing Out Parade of the Senior Cadets of the Army & Air Wings of NCC, symbolising the culmination of their training and their transition to the next phase of their journey. The NCC Song added patriotic fervour to the occasion, which concluded with the National Anthem.

Bharathi hosts CISCE Regional Kho-Kho Training Camp 2026

Bharathi School held the "Training Camp for the Regional Kho-Kho Tournament" from August 5th to 7th, 2026, for selected students of Zone B in the U-14, U-17 (Boys & Girls), and U-19 (Boys) categories.

Mr. M. Nandakumar from Bharathi School took on the role of coach for both the U-14 and U-17 Girls' teams. Mr. S. Chandru, also from Bharathi School, was responsible for coaching the U-14 and U-19 Boys' teams.
Ms. T. Sathya from Bridge Woods Public School served as the coach for the U-17 Boys' team.
Ms. S. Deepaeswari, also representing Bharathi School, acted as the team manager for all the teams mentioned above.

We wish the Kho-Kho players representing Zone B the strength and grit to shine at the Regionals!

NCC AIR WING: Annual Training Camp (ATC) cm Vayu Sainik Camp (VSC) I

In the Annual Training Camp (ATC) cm Vayu Sainik Camp (VSC) Selection Camp conducted by the 2(TN) AIR SQN NCC, 27 cadets from Bharathi School participated, along with cadets from 11 schools and 10 colleges. This camp provided valuable training and exposure through various activities such as weapon training, drill practice, aeromodelling, and an eye-care awareness camp. Our Air Wing cadets participated in various competitions and won medals and certificates in drill, volleyball, and throwball.

On the occasion of World Environment Day (June 5), the cadets attended a seminar where Professor and ANO Mr. Ravi Shankar delivered an insightful address on environmental awareness and action. The cadets also actively participated in various cultural events organised during the camp.

Presentation of Colours 2026

Presentation of Colours, Bharathi's Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2026-27, was an inspiring event that set an uplifting tone for the upcoming year and celebrated the emergence of dynamic young leaders.

Mr. Pattabiraman and Mrs. Piriyaa, the proud parents of the school topper of the Grade 10 ICSE Board Exam, presided over the function as the Chief Guests. The Correspondent, Mr. Sanjeev Anand and the Executive Director, Mrs. Nehaarika Sanjeev, graced the occasion along with the Senior Principal, Mr. Neil Guha, and the Principal, Mrs. Mary Novate.

The students, elected through a democratic process as office-bearers, were sworn in at this momentous ceremony. The Correspondent, the Senior Principal, the Principal, and the Executive Director adorned the office-bearers ceremoniously with sashes, badges, placards and the respective flags. In his address, the Chief Guest motivated the student council to take on the responsibility and unlock their potential to serve the student body and bring laurels to the school.

Bharathi School hosts CISCE Regional Girls' Basketball Tournament 2026

Bharathi School, Coimbatore, hosted the CISCE Regional Girls' Basketball Tournament 2026 on 26th and 27th July 2026, in which 4 zones (Zones A, B, C, and D) of Tamil Nadu and the Puducherry region participated.

Players who were selected from the zonal-level tournaments represented their respective zones in this Regional Tournament. The Regionals featured intense competition, memorable moments, and several remarkable performances.

About 12 teams from 4 zones participated in this 2-day event in the U-14, U-17, and U-19 categories.

CISCE Regional Basketball Tournament Training Camp (Girls) 2026

Bharathi School hosted the CISCE Zonal Girls' Basketball Tournament 2026 on 17th and 18th July 2026, with 17 ICSE schools from Zone B participating. The outstanding basketballers from this tournament were selected to represent the Zone at the Regional Level Basketball Tournament 2026-27.

Bharathi School conducted the "Training Camp for Regional Tournament" for selected students in the U-14 & U-17 categories from the 23rd to 25th July 2026. The camp was led by Coach Mr. S. Santhosh (U-17) from Bharathi School, and Ms. Mahalakshmi from Nazareth Convent High School and Junior College served as Team Manager (U-17). For the U-14 category, the training sessions were conducted by the Coaches Mr. A. Daniel Sagayaraj and Ms. R. Nimisha from Bharathi School.

Bharathi's Manu Bhaker wins CISCE Zonal Gold!

In the CISCE Games and Sports 2025-26: Zonal Level Shooting Tournament hosted by Bharathi School at Coimbatore Rifle Club on the 24th of July 2025, Thanisha Sree R (Grade 11) bagged the Gold medal in the Peep Sight 10m Air Rifle in the Under 17 category. She earned selection to represent Zone B at the CISCE Regionals Level Tournament.

Bharathi School, Coimbatore, Hosts CISCE Zonal Girls' Basketball Tournament 2026

Bharathi School, Coimbatore, hosted the CISCE Zonal Girls' Basketball Tournament 2026 on 17th and 18th July 2026, bringing together young players from ICSE schools across the Coimbatore and The Nilgiris districts.

About 32 teams from 17 schools participated in this 2-day event in the U-14, U-17, and U-19 categories.

Following two days of intense matches, outstanding basketballers from across all schools were selected to represent Zone B at the Regional Level Basketball Tournament 2026-27.
