The Frank Anthony Memorial All India Inter-School Debate Competition 2026 was conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations at Pollachi. Mutthuganeshan L V and Kavin M of Grade 12 participated in this prestigious competition and were declared the winning team in the Senior Group category of the Preliminary Stage [Stage - I]. The duo proved their mettle and qualified for the next stage. Mutthuganeshan L V was also awarded "Best Speaker" in the Senior Group.

Congratulations to the debating duo! We wish you success in the next stage as well!

Bharathians excel at the CISCE Zonal & Regional Taekwondo championships!

In the CISCE Games & Sports Zonal Level Taekwondo Championship held at Coimbatore on the 23rd of June 2026, Yaazh Magilan A T (Grade 11 ) secured First place (Gold) and Sairam K (Grade 11) secured Third place (Bronze) in the U-17 category and qualified to represent Zone B at the Regionals.

In the CISCE Games & Sports Regional Level Taekwondo Championship held on the 14th of July 2026, Yaazh Magilan A T secured Third place (Bronze) in the U-17 Boys category.

Well done, Boys! Way to go!

Bharathians make a mark in the ASISC Zonal Literary Competition 2026

In the Fr. George Hess Memorial Zonal Literary Competition 2026, conducted by the ASISC (Association of Schools for the Indian School Certificate) in Coimbatore, Mutthuganeshan L V and Kavin M of Grade 12 secured third place in the Debate in the Senior Category. This zonal-level interschool competition saw participation from schools across Coimbatore and the surrounding region. Mutthuganeshan and Kavin demonstrated outstanding teamwork, sharp reasoning, and powerful oratory skills that brought significant recognition to our institution.

Eye Screening Camp 2026

Bharathi School organised an Eye Screening Camp, in collaboration with the Eye Foundation, for students from LKG to Grade 12. The camp focused on promoting eye health awareness and offered free eye screenings and comprehensive check-ups. The camp helped us detect students' vision problems early and protect their eyesight. The ophthalmologists and optometrists checked their vision, checked for early signs of eye diseases, if any, and gave guidance on corrective measures like glasses or medical treatment.

Krishna Jayanti, also known as Janmashtami, is a festival that celebrates the birth of Krishna, the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu. Bharathi's Li'l Krishnas and Radhas from UKG celebrated Krishna Jayanti by enacting significant events from Lord Krishna's childhood. Their performances highlighted his divine birth amid challenges, Kalinga Nartanam-his divine dance on the hoods of the venomous serpent Kalinga in the Yamuna River, and the lifting of Govardhan Hill on the little finger of his left hand to protect the villagers and cattle of Vrindavan from a torrential storm. The Damodar Leela, one of the pastimes of Krishna’s childhood, in which mischievous Krishna allowed himself to be tied with a simple rope by his mother, captured the essence of his childhood. Dolled up in vibrant hues, the little ones made the day divinely delightful! The celebrations included our little ones breaking the handi (pot), recreating the playful childhood stories of Shri Krishna, who loved butter and curd.

Onam Celebrations 2026 - Pookkalam Competition: Winners

As part of Bharathi School's Onam celebrations, students from Grades 9 to 12 participated in the Athappookalam Competition, where they made traditional floral carpets (rangoli) with fresh flower petals, weaving tradition and togetherness into every pattern! The winners were honoured with prizes and certificates.

Bharathi hosts CISCE National Basketball Training Camp 2026

Bharathi School held the "Training Camp for the National Basketball Tournament" from August 22nd to 25th, 2026, for selected students from the regionals who will represent TPA regions at the CISCE National Basketball Tournament 2026 in the U-14 & U-19 Girls categories. Mr. A. Daniel Sagayaraj, the Coach, and Ms. R. Nimisha, the Team Manager, from Bharathi School conducted the training sessions for U-14 Girls. Mr. Mahesh, the Coach from St. Jude’s Public School and Junior College, and Ms. R. Nimisha, the Team Manager from Bharathi School, conducted the training sessions for U-19 Girls.

We wish the TPA U-14 & U-19 Girls Teams all the best as they aim to emerge victorious!

Cyber Safety and Adolescent Vulnerabilities - Awareness Programme

Bharathi School hosted a Cyber Crime Awareness programme organised by the Office of the Commissioner of Police, in collaboration with the Social Justice and Human Rights Department, Tamil Nadu.The interactive session on "Cyber Safety and Adolescent Vulnerabilities" was conducted for Grade 10 students by the Resource Persons, M.r V. P. Sakthivel Murugan, SSI and Ms. P. Shanthi, SSI, from the Social Justice & Human Rights Department, Tamil Nadu.

The Resource Persons elucidated how the digital world can cross the line into human rights violations, exploitation, and social injustice. The lecture addressed the following critical interconnected traps that increasingly target teenagers today, such as financial frauds (wrong calls), driving without a licence, digital extortion, love traps, and the dark web/drug nexus. Anonymous real-world case files from the state's law enforcement and social services agencies were analysed to highlight how minor digital mistakes can escalate into severe personal, emotional, and legal crises.
