KAHE Alumni Cell

The Karpagam Academy of Higher Education Alumni Association organized alumni meet for the students who passed out between 2000-2005 on 08/05/2022. Over 300 alumni attended the meet along with their families. FASCM HODs and staff made the occasion even more memorable with their presence. This event was marked by camaraderie, revelry, and an outpouring of love for their alma mater. The alumni reminisced about their days at KAHE and were unanimous about the positive impact KAHE had on their lives and careers. We were proud to note that our alumni were making rapid progress in their careers and personal lives. We had successful entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, successful bureaucrats, happy homemakers, and well-settled executives in the mix.
The alumni felicitated the staff with mementos and were particularly appreciative of our CEO, Er. K. Murugaiah, and Dr. P. Thamilarasi, Dean, Student Affairs/Alumni Advisor for providing meaningful interventions during their study at KAHE. They also expressed a strong desire to give back something to their alma mater. Mr. Gokul M.C., Manager- Alumni Relations also interacted with the alumni on a one-to-one basis and sought ideas and suggestions. After a sumptuous lunch, the day ended with photography sessions and old buddies catching up and renewing friendships.

Vimal Vijayan, our 2006 MBA alumnus is shaping kitchens around the world with his LM Equipments. They manufacture top-tier stainless steel kitchen equipment and his rapidly growing enterprise has forged ahead to become the market leader in this sphere. With clients like top players in the hospitality sector, software firms, industrial canteens, educational institutions, hospitals, resorts, clubs, etc. LM Equipments boasts a huge repertoire of renowned clientele all around the world.

For a company established in 2015, such rapid growth in a highly competitive field would not have been possible without a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. We in KAHE salute his spirit of entrepreneurship and wish that his venture scales unparalleled heights. His achievements are a source of immense pride to us and we are certain that his story will inspire many more.

With 22 years in the IT industry, Shanmugam Mahalingam, our 1998 MBA alumnus currently heads the Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE) for the iGTB Unit. He handles Intellect Design Arena Ltd; Africa, Middle East, APAC Programs in Software Testing & Quality Assurance expertise. He has worn several hats in his illustrious career, like being the head of TCoE, Technical Partner, Account Manager, and Delivery Manager across accounts.

Mr. Shanmugam Mahalingam describes himself as, "an effective communicator with exceptional functional, analytical, and technical skills with the ability to handle end to end project account working with different clients and In-depth strengths in the areas of leadership, vision, strategy, setting governance structure, people management, analysis, and timely decision making, cost, and finance management, negotiation, operational efficiency in onshore/offshore models".

We are proud that our alumnus has made stupendous inroads in the corporate world with his vast and varied portfolio. We wish him more such successes and his success story will be a source of inspiration to all KAHE'ans.

Ms. A. Kavitha our 2005 BCom alumnus is a shining example of what perseverance and passion can achieve! After some years as a lecturer, she decided to start her own venture- Veenus Software Technology, a firm providing ERP software to builders. Being the CEO of her own company did not stop her from pursuing her passion- handicraft items and jewels. She started MKV Crafts which promotes handicraft items made by the visually challenged. We salute her spirit of entrepreneurship and passion for helping the underprivileged.

"Success is a journey, not a destination"- this is the mantra of Balagopal Manoharan, Managing Director, AVB Teknosolves. KAHE's 2007 MBA alumnus, started his career as Sales Associate in ICICI Bank and after successful stints in companies like Apple Asia Pacific, Dell India Pvt. Ltd and Gemini Communications, he decided to realise his dream of being an entrepreneur. He founded AVB Teknosolves, a home automation company. With due diligence, from INR 6 Lakhs turnover in 2011, his company now operates in 6 cities in Tamilnadu with a turnover of INR 2 crore 65 lakhs!!!

We are proud of Mr. Balagopal Manoharan and believe that his success story will inspire countless others.
