E-Waste Awareness Session | Small Steps Today, Greener Tomorrow 🌱♻️
On 14th August 2026, an engaging and thought-provoking E-Waste Awareness Session was conducted at Thambu Higher Secondary School, Thambu Auditorium, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., benefiting nearly 50 Grade 8 students.
The programme was organised in coordination with Yi Coimbatore and Green Era Recyclers, with the objective of sensitising young minds to the growing challenge of electronic waste and fostering a culture of responsible consumption and sustainable living.
The interactive session helped students understand that discarded electronic devices are not merely junk—they contain valuable resources that can be reduced, reused, repaired and responsibly recycled. Students explored the environmental and health hazards associated with improper e-waste disposal and learnt practical ways to manage electronic waste responsibly.
From mobile phones, chargers and cables to laptops, tablets and other electronic accessories, the session encouraged our young learners to make conscious choices and adopt sustainable practices in their everyday lives.

The programme was a meaningful and impactful learning experience, inspiring nearly 50 young learners to become responsible citizens, conscious consumers and committed custodians of our planet.
