Dr. John V. Kennedy, Principal Scientist (Materials Science) at National Isotope Centre, Earth Sciences New Zealand, visited PSG Institute of Advanced Studies on 3rd June 2026.
During his visit, Dr. Kennedy delivered an insightful lecture titled βNano Engineered Materials for a Zero Carbon Futureβ to the faculty members, and researchers of PSGIAS. The talk highlighted recent advances in nanostructured materials and their potential role in enabling sustainable energy systems and achieving global decarbonization goals.
As part of the visit, Dr. Kennedy visited the PSGIAS labs and interacted with faculty members, research scholars, and students, discussing ongoing research activities and emerging opportunities in advanced materials science. Productive discussions were also held on establishing joint research collaborations, particularly in the areas of green hydrogen production, energy conversion and storage, carbon-neutral technologies, and other decarbonization strategies.
The visit provided an excellent platform for strengthening international research partnerships and exploring potential future collaborative activities.
