Thaamarai World School conducted a Youth Parliament session to provide students with an interactive platform to understand the democratic process. Students enacted the roles of Speaker, Prime Minister, Cabinet Ministers, and Opposition leaders.
They discussed important topics such as environmental protection, digital safety, education reforms, and community welfare.
The activity helped them develop critical thinking, public speaking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. It also promoted awareness about the functioning of the Indian Parliament and the responsibilities of citizens.
Overall, the session was engaging, educational, and inspired students to become responsible future leaders.
1. Role Enactment:
Students actively took up parliamentary roles such as Speaker – Siddharth, Prime Minister – Farhan, Leader of Opposition – Sanjay, and other ministers and MPs including Kasvi (Opposition MP 1), Dharika (Food Minister), Vignesh (Ruling MP), Sharan (Agriculture Minister), Rithunandhana (Opposition MP 2), Alina (Transport Minister), Naveen (Finance Minister), Sourabhi (Ruling MP 2), Sabarina (Education Minister),Abinandhana (Ruling MP 3)
Each student confidently presented their views, debated on important topics, and followed parliamentary procedures. The Speaker maintained discipline while MPs raised questions to the ministers.
The session helped students improve leadership, communication, and public speaking skills while gaining a practical understanding of how the Indian Parliament functions.
