SPARK TO STARTUP: INNOVATION SHOWCASE
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology, organized an innovative event titled “Spark to Startup: Innovation Showcase” in celebration of National Startup Day on 16/01/2026. The event was designed to inspire students to transform their creative ideas into viable innovations and entrepreneurial ventures. The program aimed to cultivate a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving among students by providing them with a platform to present their innovative ideas, projects, prototypes, and business concepts. Through this event, students were encouraged to explore real-world challenges and develop practical solutions that could potentially evolve into startup opportunities.

Workshop on “Innovate to Elevate: A Transformative Workshop on Design Thinking”
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of SKCET, organized a Workshop on “Innovate to Elevate: A Transformative Workshop on Design Thinking.” The session aimed at fostering innovation and creative problem-solving skills among students by introducing them to the principles and practices of design thinking.
Objective:
The primary objectives of the workshop were:
• To introduce participants to the fundamentals of Design Thinking
• To develop a problem-solving mindset focused on user-centric solutions
• To encourage creativity and innovation in engineering applications
• To provide practical exposure to ideation and prototyping techniques
• To bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world challenges
• To motivate students towards entrepreneurship and innovative project development
Outcome:
The workshop resulted in the following key outcomes:
• Enhanced understanding of design thinking principles among students
• Improved ability to analyze problems from a user-centric perspective
• Development of creative and critical thinking skills
• Increased interest in innovation, research, and entrepreneurship

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in association with Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) is planning to conduct a “Innovation Showcase: Demo Day/Exhibition/Poster Presentation of Innovations/Prototypes” for B.E. Electrical and Electronics Engineering students during 22.12.2025 to 24.12.2025 at 09:30 AM to 4.30 PM in C2-11, C2-12 & BS-11. These events providing a dynamic platform for students to growth and development of a New Innovations.
Innovations Showcase: Demo Day/Poster Presentation of Innovations/Prototypes,. The event was held from December 22 to December 24, 2025. Demo Day provided a dynamic platform for student innovators to display their groundbreaking ideas and prototypes through interactive demonstrations and poster presentations.
This event facilitated close relationships between seasoned Innovation Ambassadors/Experts and young innovators, offering participants opportunities to receive expert advice and valuable feedback. By tackling challenging concepts, students honed their communication and presentation skills. Interactions with mentors enabled them to learn industry best practices and develop professional networking abilities.
