Independence Day Celebration at PSG Public Schools 🇮🇳

PSG Public Schools celebrated Independence Day with immense pride, patriotism and enthusiasm. The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag by our Principal and Headmistress, followed by an inspiring speech highlighting the significance of Independence and our responsibilities as citizens.

The celebration featured a patriotic pledge, followed by melodious patriotic music and energetic dance performances presented by our talented students. A meaningful patriotic drama and an engaging story presentation beautifully showcased the values of courage, sacrifice, unity and love for our motherland. 🎶💃🎭🇮🇳

The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by the Vice Principal, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the celebration memorable.

✨ English Recitation Competition – Grade 1 & Grade 2 ✨

An English Recitation Competition for the students of Grade 1 and Grade 2 was conducted on Friday, 14th August 2026, at the Primary Wing Auditorium, PSG Public Schools.

The event was graced by the guidance of our Headmistress, Mrs. B. Velumani. We extend our sincere gratitude to our esteemed judges, Mrs. Sharmila and Mrs. Gomathi, for their valuable presence and encouragement.

Our young participants captivated the audience with their confidence, clear pronunciation, expressive actions, and enthusiastic performances. 🌟🎤

The judges appreciated the efforts of all the participants, and prizes were presented to the deserving winners. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks.

The competition provided a wonderful opportunity for our young learners to enhance their speaking skills, build vocabulary, develop expression, and gain confidence in public speaking. 💫

🎶🙏 Bhajan Competition – A Melodious Achievement! 🏆

We are delighted to share that a Bhajan Competition was organised at Jagannatha Perumal Temple on 8 August 2026, bringing together participants from around 12 schools. The event provided a beautiful platform for young students to express their musical talent and devotion through bhajans. 🌸🎵

Seven students from PSG Public Schools, in the 12–14 years age group, participated with great enthusiasm, dedication and confidence. Their melodious performance and coordinated presentation were highly appreciated by both the audience and the judges.

The students were guided and supported by our music teachers, Mr. Mani and Ms. Swathi. Mr. Mani provided musical accompaniment, while our respected Principal, Mr. Girish Eswaran, also graciously supported the team with his musical accompaniment. Their encouragement and guidance played an important role in this achievement. 🌟

This accomplishment reflects the students’ commitment, teamwork and musical talent, along with the dedicated support of our teachers and school leadership.

🎭 Cultural Fiesta 2026 – Celebrating Creativity, Talent & Culture! 🌟

The Cultural Fiesta – Inter-House Cultural Competitions was held on 7th and 8th August 2026 at PSG Public Schools, bringing together over 400 enthusiastic participants from the four houses – Cauvery, Godhavari, Krishna and Vaigai. 🏆✨

The vibrant two-day celebration provided students with a wonderful platform to showcase their talents in Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Classical Dance, Folk Dance, Art, Wealth from Waste, Rangoli, Poem Writing and Skit, across both solo and group categories. 🎶💃🎨

The PSG Public Schools Auditorium came alive with captivating musical, dance and skit performances. External judges ensured fair and professional evaluation, while students demonstrated remarkable creativity, confidence, teamwork and dedication. 👏

Beyond competition, the Cultural Fiesta fostered team spirit, discipline, self-expression, healthy competition and appreciation for art and culture. The enthusiastic participation of all four houses made the event truly memorable and enriching. 🌈

Our Kindergarten students enthusiastically participated in the English Recitation Competition held on 29.07.2026.

Recitation is a wonderful way to nurture young learners' language development as it combines listening, speaking, memory, and expression in a fun and engaging activity. Through their confident performances, the children enhanced their vocabulary, pronunciation, and communication skills.

Acting out poems also encouraged creativity, imagination, and self-expression, helping our little learners grow into confident speakers while strengthening the language and literacy skills they will carry throughout their academic journey.

Our students showcased exceptional talent and teamwork at SYMBIOZ 2026, the prestigious inter-school commerce fest hosted by Camford International School, Coimbatore, on 25 July 2026.

A team of 17 students, accompanied by 2 teachers, enthusiastically participated in a wide range of events including Adzap, Fireless Cooking, Resume Writing, Business Quiz, Business Magazine, Business Tycoon, and many more. The fest provided an enriching platform for students to demonstrate their creativity, business acumen, communication skills, and collaborative spirit while competing with peers from various schools.

The spirit of sportsmanship and excellence came alive on Day 2 of the PSG Public Schools Athletic Meet, held on 18th July 2026, with vibrant displays of discipline, teamwork, and athletic talent.

The event was presided over by Managing Trustee Shri L. Gopalakrishnan and graced by Chief Guest Dr. R. Annadurai, Professor & Director i/c, NSS Programme Co-Ordinator, Department of Physical Education, School of Educational Studies, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.

The programme began with the Assembly of Athletes, followed by a warm welcome. The ceremonial march past, led by the school band and the NCC cadets, set a majestic tone for the event, showcasing impeccable discipline, coordination, and pride. The Oath-Taking Ceremony reaffirmed the athletes' commitment to fair play and sportsmanship.

Students enthusiastically participated in a wide range of track and field events, displaying determination, resilience, and a healthy competitive spirit. Spectacular display performances added colour and excitement, captivating the audience throughout the day.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. R. Annadurai inspired the young athletes to cultivate discipline, dedication, and perseverance, emphasizing that sports play a vital role in building character and lifelong success.

The Athletic Meet concluded with a grand Prize Distribution Ceremony, where winners were honoured for their outstanding achievements while applauding the efforts and participation of every student. PSG Public Schools proudly celebrated its 25th Annual Kiddies Meet on 17th July 2026 with great enthusiasm and vibrant participation.

The event was presided over by Managing Trustee Shri L. Gopalakrishnan and graced by our Chief Guest, Mrs. Sangeetha Sridhar. The gathering was warmly welcomed by our Headmistress, Mrs. B. Velumani.

The celebrations commenced with a colourful march past by the four houses, followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting and oath-taking. Students from Grades 1 to 5 showcased remarkable energy and enthusiasm through races, relays, and fun-filled games. Spectacular mass drills and themed performances captivated the audience with their creativity, precision, and teamwork.
