An era has drawn to a close with Prof Joshi C Haran's retirement from our department, prompting a bittersweet response. We take joy in knowing that he can now enjoy a well-deserved rest, while those who had the privilege of knowing him well are filled with a deep sense of loss. As one of the pioneering employees of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, he was instrumental in shaping the institution's growth, especially in the Coimbatore Campus. His departure leaves a void, as we bid farewell to a guiding light, mentor, and paternal figure. Although his retirement marks the end of an era, we wish him a peaceful and prosperous life. Our Coimbatore Campus was honored to host FLAME 2024, where esteemed industry leaders Dr. Shankar Venugopal, Vice President at Mahindra, and Mr. Meenakshi Sundaram, CTO at Amalgamation Components Group, delivered talks on Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Electric Vehicle Design. The speakers subsequently provided constructive feedback to the SAE students team.

We are pleased to announce a training workshop on the Finite Element Package - Abaqus, that we are conducting from September 3rd (Tuesday) to September 6th (Friday) on Offline Mode and on September 9th (Monday) on Online Mode in our campus. This workshop is conducted by us in association with Dassault Systemes and EDS Technologies. The workshop will be conducted in the CAD Lab of Academic Block-1 (Ground Floor).
