Road Safety Awareness Program

On the occasion of National Science Day, A two-day Science Exhibition titled “Contribution of Science in Engineering & Technology” was organised in our Polytechnic College on 28th Feb 2024 and 29th Feb 2024. This Science Exhibition was inaugurated by Swami Garishthanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya on 28th Feb 2024. Swami Tadbhasananda, Correspondent of Polytechnic College and Swami Divyanamananda, Correspondent of Industrial Training Institute also graced the occasion.
A total of 57 projects under the ideas and concepts of Basic Sciences, 55 mini projects in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical and Electronics engineering and 13 Information Technology software based projects were exhibited. Nearly 1440 students are expected to visit the exhibition from various schools in and around Vidyalaya. Swamiji’s, Heads of institutions of Vidyalaya and Staff members from various institutions also visited the exhibition.

INAUGURATION OF STANDARDS CLUB
The inauguration of Bureau of Indian Standards - “Standards Club” in our College was conducted on 17th Feb 2024. Swami Tadbhasananda Maharaj, Correspondent inaugurated the programme and delivered the Presidential address. Sri G Saravanakumar, Standards Promotion Officer, Bureau of Indian Standards, Coimbatore Branch, delivered the inaugural address. Dr M Kaarthik, Resource Person, Bureau of Indian Standards delivered the special address. Totally 158 students from I & II year of all branches attended the programme.

State Level Inter Polytechnic Technical Symposium - Vidya Fest - 24

The ‘International Day Against Abuse and Illicit Trafficking’ was observed on 26th June 2023. Sri N Dhamotharan, Inspector of Police, Periyanaickenpalayam delivered a special lecture about the Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The students and staff of our college took pledge against the use of drugs.

International Yoga Day was Celebrated at our college on 21st June 2023. 81 students participated in the Yoga Demonstration.

Our College organised an Eye Screening Camp in collaboration with M/s The Eye Foundation, Coimbatore on 21st June 2023. A total number of 599 students and 16 staff members were benefitted.

SPORTS
IPAA State Level Inter-Polytechnic Kho-Kho Tournament was organized by our college on 06th & 07th March 2023. Swami Tadbhasananda Maharaj, Correspondent of our college inaugurated the tournament on 06th March 2023. Rev. Swami Garishthanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Vidyalaya Institutions distributed the prizes to the winners on 07th March 2023. The following are the results.

NDLI CLUB
To create awareness among the students about the National Digital Library of India (NDLI), a user awareness programme was organised on 21st Feb 2023 by Dr. A. Sokkalingam, Librarian. All first year students attended the programme. In this awareness programme, the use of NDLI online portal, information resources available, browsing options and other important features useful for literature retrieval were discussed.
