Okay, let's get real. 8 glasses of water a day doesn’t work for everyone! Our hydration needs depend on your body weight, activity level, and environment.
Here’s the deal:
👉 Drink 5-10 mL/kg of body weight about 2-4 hours before you get moving.
👉 Feeling dehydrated? There can be a 2-6% loss in body weight from dehydration which can impact your performance. Add 3-5 mL/kg for a quick boost.
After your sweat session, aim for 1.25-1.5L of fluid intake and importantly, don't forget to replenish the salts lost through sweat by taking electrolytes drinks. It’s all about refuelling your body and recovering like a pro. 🔥
Pro tip: Don’t wait until you feel thirsty. By then, your performance may already be dipping. So sip, sip, and sip some more throughout the day and your workout!
