SCISSORS CRAFT ACTIVITY
A Scissors Craft Activity was conducted on 18th September 2026 in the respective classrooms of Kindergarten. This activity focused on developing fine motor skills, coordination and control through cutting exercises using paper and other safe materials. The children were guided to handle scissors safely and cut carefully along straight, curved and zig-zag lines. They practiced opening and closing of scissors continuously and participated in activities such as hair-cutting practice, snipping paper strips and fringe cutting.

The activity aimed to develop safe scissor-handling skills and improve bilateral hand coordination. It also helped to enhance the children’s concentration, precision and confidence while performing cutting tasks.

MEMORY GAME ACTIVITY

A Memory Game Activity was conducted on 15th September 2026 for the Nursery, LKG and UKG students of the Pre-Primary Section. The activity was planned according to the age and learning levels of the children. Nursery students participated in number-based memory games, while LKG students enjoyed alphabet-related activities. UKG students engaged in word-building activities using picture cards and alphabets.
The activity helped enhance the children’s memory, concentration, observation and recall skills while reinforcing classroom concepts. The children participated enthusiastically and enjoyed learning through play.

An English Poem Recitation Activity was held on Friday,11th September 2026, for Kindergarten students in the Activity Room. The children recited simple and interesting poems in groups, using actions and expressions. They participated enthusiastically and gave their best. Each performance showcased strong memorization, appropriate hand gestures and good eye contact.

ACTIVITY: BRINGING HISTORY AND GEOGRAPHY TO LIFE

The activity “Bringing History and Geography to Life” was conducted for Classes III to V during the second week of September. Students enthusiastically participated by depicting various scenes and concepts from the topics covered in History and Geography through creative presentations, role plays and models.
The activity aimed to provide students with an opportunity to revise the concepts taught in class and develop a deeper understanding of them through experiential learning. Teacher’s Day Celebration

Raja Ram Mohan Roy Academy celebrated Teacher’s Day on 5 September 2026 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan and to honour the hardworking and dedicated teachers who play a vital role in shaping young minds. The celebration began with the morning assembly, where a special tribute was paid to Dr. S. Radhakrishnan. The Deputy Head Girl, in her speech, highlighted the significance of the day and emphasised the importance of respecting and cherishing the values and learning imparted by teachers. The students also presented a skit as part of the celebration.

The celebrations continued with a special programme organised by the Prefectorial Board. It began with a lively band performance, followed by an award ceremony and dance performances, providing an opportunity to recognise and appreciate the dedication and contributions of the teaching fraternity.

In her address, the Principal Ma’am reminded the teachers that they are the “architects of tomorrow”, emphasising the immense responsibility they carry in shaping the future of children and nurturing them to become the brightest versions of themselves. The teachers then took the pledge, reaffirming their commitment to their profession and their responsibility towards their students. The celebration concluded on a cheerful note with cake cutting, bringing the teachers together in a spirit of appreciation and camaraderie.

JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION
Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm on 3rd September 2026 in the Activity Room. The Kindergarten children came dressed in colourful traditional attire as little Krishnas, Radhas, Gvalas and Gopikas, carrying flutes, wearing colourful bangles, odhnis and peacock-feather crowns. The teachers narrated simple and interesting stories about Lord Krishna, his love for butter and his childhood days in Gokul. The little ones enjoyed swaying, clapping and dancing to traditional songs and bhajans.
The celebration helped the children learn about Indian culture and the values of love, kindness, sharing and victory of good over evil.

SelaQui Science Decathlon 2026

On 21 and 22 August 2026, SelaQui International School hosted the SelaQui Science Decathlon (QSD) 2026, a two-day inter-school STEAM celebration themed “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat – Science for Unity, Innovation for Progress.” The event provided students with a platform to demonstrate their knowledge, creativity, problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.
