The ideal objective of an educational activity is to enable the flowering of latent potential and to inculcate knowledge and skills for productive living, and to be a useful citizen. The term “Cutting-Edge” visualizes such outcomes not only in terms of an adequate arrival, but to be participants in the most advanced and exciting developments in a field. The ‘C-Edge College’ thus presents the Vision to build and engage in an educational environment which enable its students towards the formation of a ‘cutting-edge’ mindset. We believe that the human mind must first ‘Aspire’ and reach the ‘cutting-edge’ frontier before we can actually set out to achieve any goal within the realm of excellence.
‘C’ also representing Christ, C-Edge is a co-ed Christian College. Thus to understand oneself, one must first know God. We therefore believe that true education needs to be Christ-centered.

The Department of English organised its 14th Special Lecture Series on the topic, “Literature as Empathy Architecture in a Fractured World.” The session focused on the psychological and social necessity of literary narratives in building cross-cultural empathy and emotional intelligence. Ms. Teyen Seb, Assistant Professor in the Department of English, J.N. Aier College, served as the resource person for the event.

The Department of Political Science hosted a discussion session on “A Discourse on the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation (BEFR), 1873: Understanding the Legal Foundations of Inner Line Permit (ILP)” at the GK Auditorium on September 16, 2026.

Key Highlights & Speakers
* Dr. Chubatola Aier (Principal Emeritus) opened the event by stressing the need to understand the historical and legal roots of contemporary institutions and warning against the potential misuse of colonial-era regulations.
* Dr. Moameren Pongen (Principal, C-Edge College) traced the history of the 1873 regulation, focusing on indigenous rights, migration controls, and balancing development with local interests.
* Ms. Duvolu Rhakho (HoD, Political Science) analyzed the constitutional aspects of the ILP, specifically referencing Articles 19(5) and 371A.
* Social & Student Viewpoints were shared by Mr. Solunto (Asst GS-CECSF) and Ms. Tiawala (BA V Semester).
* Er. Moa Aier (President, C-Edge College) concluded by linking the ILP to Nagaland’s unique status under Article 371A. He urged that the ILP be protected and used as a tool for positive development, stating, “Nagaland could use the ILP to make visitors welcomed rather than discouraged.”

On 14 September 2026, the CEC Student Forum held its Installation Ceremony at Manen Hall, featuring the official exchange of files and a farewell to the outgoing team.

The installation as well as the felicitation of the outgoing team was presided by Student Advisor Mr. Obed Patton. The welcome speech was delivered by President of CECSF - Principal Dr. Moameren Pongen.
