Examination centre of TRINITY COLLEGE LONDON. Cods academy stands as an icon in the field of music instrument training from the past 7 years. Benny Cherian.

Classes are available for the instruments violin, keyboard and guitar for all age groups. Located near Chottanikkara temple, Ernakulam, Kerala. In 1986 the ‘Cods Orchestra’ was formed consisting of 15 members under the leadership of Mr. And the first program was conducted in West germany for WDR broadcasting. In 1994 , after 8 years BBC invited the team for an interview and it was held at MSOT Sem

inary, Vettical, Ernakulam. The program conducted in West Germany was rebroadcast in BBC Channel 4 radio. This was received with wide appreciations from various angles. Seeing the potentiality of music to create love, harmony, peace and happiness among people, Benny Cherian decided to spread the word of music through educating people. He started the Cods Academy in a humble way in 1999 for teaching music instruments at his home in Chottanikkara, Ernakulam District. Even though it was a village area, his idea was warmly welcomed by the villagers and soon it became difficult to manage classes in his home. He then decided to give a more institutional structure to his academy and the constructing of a new building commenced. The new building was inaugurated on Jan 1st 2004 by His grace Joseph Mar Gregorious, Metropolitan of Cochin Diocese Since then there was no looking back. In the beginning there were only classes for Electronic keyboard, Western violin and Plectrum Guitar. Soon Eastern vocals, Drawing, Eastern violin, Drums, Tabla, and flute were introduced.
