"ya" is very similar to its corresponding English sound.
தமிழில் 'ய' உச்சரிப்போம் அல்லவா? அது போன்றுதான் இந்த எழுத்தை உச்சரிக்க வேண்டும். 4ஆம் எண்ணில் இடம்பெற்றுள்ள கோடு (இதை சிர் ரேகா என்று சொல்வார்கள்) எழுத்துடன் முழுமையாக ஒட்டி இருக்க வேண்டும்.

This is the letter भ bha. This is the aspirated version of the letter ब ba, which means to pronounce it you should make the normal 'b’ sound with lots and lots of air leaving your mouth! 'India’ in Hindi is भारत bhaarat!
இது ब ba என்ற எழுத்தின் அபிலாஷை பதிப்பாகும், இதை உச்சரிக்க காற்று கலந்த 'பி' ஒலியை உருவாக்க வேண்டும்! இந்தியில் ‘இந்தியா’ என்பது भारत பாரத்! என்பார்களே. அதை உச்சரிக்கும் போது வரும் ஒலியே இதற்கும் வரும்.
