AIIMS Jodhpur. Another doctor lost.
Dr Raj Naresh, reportedly a Junior Resident in Anaesthesia (Sem 2 JR), and a 2016 UG alumnus of AIIMS Jodhpur, has allegedly died by su***de today. A colleague alleges he was facing severe toxicity, was unwell, had undergone a dengue test yesterday, was suffering-and was still denied leave.
And this is allegedly NOT isolated.
The resident claims:
7 days/week
Up to 20 HOURS A DAY
Weekly offs only "on paper"
Severe toxicity across surgical branches
This raises serious questions about workload, working conditions, leave, and the wellbeing of residents and healthcare workers.
Healthcare workers deserve a safe, humane and supportive working environment.
