Our school celebrated World Elephant Day with a creative activities that sparked imagination and curiosity among our students. The assembly featured a fascinating presentation about the importance of saving elephants and protecting their forest homes, highlighting the urgent need for conservation efforts to ensure the survival of these magnificent creatures. Students learned about the habitat, behavior, and social structures of elephants, and how human actions can impact their populations. Children dressed up in grey costumes, complete with tusks and trunks, and made wonderful elephant drawings to show their love and appreciation for these gentle giants. They also created posters, poems, and stories to express their thoughts and feelings about elephant conservation. It was a fun-filled day that not only educated our students but also inspired them to take action and make a positive impact on the world around them. 🐘💚

" DO OR DIE "
Today Burnpur Riverside School, Chittaranjan, organised a special programme on 8 August, 2026 to commemorate the "Quit India" Movement and to make students aware of its significance in India’s freedom struggle.
During the programme, students were informed about the historical importance of the movement. It was highlighted that on 8 August 1942, the All India Congress Committee passed the Quit India Resolution under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhiji gave the inspiring call of “Do or Die”, urging Indians to unite and fight for freedom.
The entire programme was conducted with great enthusiasm.
Students participated enthusiastically by delivering pledge, speeches, Poem, Dance, Song, Documentary,and raising patriotic slogans. The teachers also highlighted the values of freedom, unity, courage, non-violence and patriotism.
The programme concluded with a tribute to the brave freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation. The event was informative, meaningful and inspiring for all the students.

🍳 A Celebration of Culinary Creativity at BRS, CRJ! 👩‍🍳✨

Burnpur Riverside School, Chittaranjan (BRS, CRJ), organised an exciting Culinary Competition for students of Classes VI–VIII and IX–XII, providing a vibrant platform to showcase creativity, culinary skills, teamwork and innovation. The competition featured both non-fire and fire-cooking rounds, Fire safety protocols were strictly followed and upheld during all culinary activities, ensuring a safe and secure environment for the students. Our young chefs transformed wholesome ingredients into healthy, delicious and beautifully presented dishes.

The culinary creations were evaluated by esteemed judges, who appreciated the students’ creativity, flavours, presentation and thoughtful choice of ingredients. The event was a delightful blend of learning, healthy living, and spirited competition.

A wonderful celebration of talent, creativity and life skills beyond the classroom! 🌿🍴

A special Bagless Day was celebrated in our school on 7th August 2026 to promote experiential learning. The day was planned to break the monotony of routine classes and to develop creativity, teamwork, environmental awareness among students.
Rakhi Making Activity
Students participated enthusiastically in Rakhi Making. Using threads, beads, ribbons, glitter and eco-friendly materials, they designed beautiful rakhis. The activity aimed to promote creativity and the value of brotherhood and sisterhood.

Debate Competition(Tark kshetra)
A debate was conducted on the topic :' Should mobile phone be allowed to students for their academics'.
Students spoke confidently for and against the motion. This activity helped in improving public speaking, critical thinking and communication skills.

Multiple Games & Sports
Various indoor and outdoor games were organized to promote physical fitness and team spirit. Activities included:
Recreational games with tyres and Hulla-hoops.
Students participated with great zeal and sportsmanship.

Biodiversity Register Maintenance
As part of the Kaushal Bodh activity, students worked on Biodiversity Register Maintenance.
Class 6 students collected and pressed leaves of different plants from the school garden and labeled them.
This activity created awareness about local flora and fauna and the need for conservation.

The day concluded with a feedback session where students shared that they enjoyed learning through activities. Teachers also appreciated the enthusiasm and discipline shown by students.

An Inter-House Kho-Kho Competition for the girl students of Classes VI–XII was organised at Burnpur Riverside School, Chittaranjan on 7th August 2026.

The first match was played between Narmada House and Yamuna House, in which Yamuna House emerged victorious and became the first finalist.

The second match was played between Cauvery House and Ganga House, with Ganga House winning the match and securing their place as the second finalist.

In the third match, Narmada House faced Cauvery House. Narmada House emerged victorious and secured the position of Second Runner-Up.

The much-awaited final match was played between Yamuna House and Ganga House. After an exciting and competitive game, Ganga House emerged as the Winner, while Yamuna House secured the position of First Runner-Up.

🏆 Winner: Ganga House
🥇 First Runner-Up: Yamuna House
🥈 Second Runner-Up: Narmada House

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation, team spirit, discipline, sportsmanship, and tremendous energy from all the students. The event provided an excellent platform for students to showcase their sporting skills while promoting teamwork and healthy competition.

In the campus of Burnpur Riverside School, Chittaranjan, an inter-house football competition was played between students of classes 6 to 12 on 6-07-2026. The first match was played between Cauvery house and Narmada house, in which Cauvery house won and became the first finalist with 4-1 goals. The second match was played between Ganga house and Yamuna house, in which Yamuna house became the second finalist after winning with 4-2 goals. The third match was played for third position between Narmada house and Ganga house, in which Narmada house became the winner with 4-2 goals. The final match was played between Cauvery house and Yamuna house, which ended up with a tiebreaker result of Cauvery house 5 and Yamuna house 4, by which Cauvery house became the champion house and Yamuna became the first runner-up. Students showed their interest by their active participation in the competition.
