The department with the passage of its evolution and growth has succeeded in creating its place of excellence not only within the college but among its counterparts in the country. It has been attracting bright students from all parts of the country for quality education in computer science and engineering. Our mission is to develop bright and motivated students, and provide them with education, guidance, and the resources necessary to become leading researchers in academia and professionals in industry and government organizations. The department provides a dynamic environment for education. Our degree program helps students to become outstanding professionals, prepared to impact modern society in all manners through the application of cutting edge technology. Over the last eight years our graduates (more than one thousand) are working in a spectrum of settings, which includes Fortune 500 companies, PSUs and leading universities. The department has qualified and experienced faculty members in the areas of Computer Architecture, Database Systems, Data Mining, Computer Networks, Machine Learning, Soft Computing and Software Engineering. Our faculties have published a large number of papers in international and national journals and conferences. They have strong interaction with various other departments like Electrical Engineering & Electronics Engineering in the field of teaching and research. Computer science students at the BBDITM are in high demand in the software industry. Our alumni make up a major portion of the IT workforce, in major national and multinational software companies like IBM, TCS, Oracle, Microsoft, Convergeis, Birlasoft etc. The Department has tie-ups with reputed IT Companies like TCS (through Campus connect program), IBM, HP etc. The department s corporate connection program connects students with the employers seeking their special skills. The comprehensive recruitment partnership program brings companies to the campus throughout the year for lectures, classroom presentations, recruitment events, career fairs, competitions, and more. Our final year students in collaboration with the final year students of IT department, have designed and developed a computer forum. Computer forum is dedicated to organize weekly aptitude, logical and quantitative tests (including on-line tests) for 3rd year and final year students of CSE and IT. Curriculum related topics are presented on weekly basis by the students of CSE and IT. The forum also provides them the opportunity to improve technical and literary writing skills. In addition frequent quizzes are conducted on held workshops, latest technologies, awareness and subject related topics. VISION
