This year's World Water Day is focused on the theme of "Accelerating the change to solve the water and sanitation crisis," highlighting the urgent need to address this critical issue for the sake of creating a sustainable future. Several activities were conducted to address the water and sanitation crisis and promote sustainability by Dr D Y Patil Educational Complex Akurdi’s, D Y Patil College of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering.
World Water Day was celebrated in Association with Institute of Engineers India, Pune Chapter and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation organized various events.
a) Site Visit to Sewage treatment Plant, Chinchwad.
b) Site Visit to Sewage treatment Plant, Bhatnagar, Pimpri,
c) Site Visit to Sewage treatment Plant, Akurdi
d) Expert Lecture on Localizing SDGs: Making Campus a Living Laboratory by Dr Rajendra Shende Former Director, UNEP, Founder Director, Green TERRE Foundation
