CODEP Industrial Training Institute CODEP is a acronym for COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME. With this in mind CODEP ITI was started in the year 1989 by Dr. M. Aschhoff, M. Thanks to Most Rev. Dr. P.

CODEP was started in the year 1983 with many Objectives to improve status of the poor people in and around Chetpet. D., Programme Director, CODEP, with financial assistance received from Deutscher caritasverband. This Institute is owned and run by CODEP – Community Development Programme registered under Societies Registration act 1987. In the year 1994, this Institute was handed over to the Vellor

e Social Service Society(VSSS), an official social organ of the Catholic Diocese of Vellore and thus CODEP became a unit of VSSS. Soundararaju sdb, Bishop of Vellore and V. Rev. Sr. Maria Rathinam, General Leader, MMSI and CEO for their kind support and effort. CODEP ITI offers technical education to the poorest section of the population in and around Chetpet area. In the beginning ITI was started with only one trade Mechanic Motor Vehicle. In the year 2010 – 11 the ITI has improved its level by starting two more trades Fitter and Welder. The School guaranties that every students gets a job when they complete their course at CODEP ITI.
