We're currently in Hyderabad to print the Photographic Field Guide - Wildlife of South India. I have been waiting for three years to type this and the day is finally here!!!
The book is everything we had dreamt of in the last few years. It has now taken its final shape. 1915 species belonging to six taxa (mammals, birds, butterflies, dragonflies, reptiles and amphibians) - the first comprehensive field guide covering the six states of South India - the first comprehensive coverage of the reptiles, amphibians and dragonflies of South India. A must have surely for any visit to the wilderness in any corner of the region, starting with ones own backyard. It has been one amazing and tiring journey, not just for us but for everyone around us who we share our lives with.

A special shout out to the core team who have put up with us and our nonsense through the last two years - Mugdha, who is responsible for creating the wonderful leaves of the book, Faiza Mookerjee our editor and go to for everything we need, Sheema for proof reading our writing (needed). And most importantly, a big shoutout to my brother from the wilderness and co-author David Raju .
There are many others we need to thank from our families at home, our families in Bokkapuram in Masinagudi and the friends who selflessly contributed photographs and information to make this possible. A detailed note on each of them soon.
